I can't in no shape or form recommend this game, this game is practically a SCAM for this price. -Story? almost none, around 1~3 minutes of dialonge for each misson(most dialogues trigger at the start of a mission and at the end, with a few in checkpoints), you character has no saying or dialogue options in this game, the only thing it does is shake its head. Your partnes as well, there is so little personality or story about them. -Exploration? Pure garbage, missions are made for you to go from point A to B( there is no freedom of exploration here), treasure chests are most useless giving you comsumeble that you can buy or make on the shop(with a few exections, that give blueprint for weapons and armor), And the maps desaigs are made for you wast time walking/running(i think out of those 20h of game 10h i spend going to point A to B) -Enemies? They recycle so much, in the first floor you have like 8 enemies in total, most just have an alternative aparence and rankings Normal/elite/boss to give some "Diversety", but in the end your are pritty much fighing the same enemies. It's ridiculus how they make some bosses fight, they just put elite/boss/elite in an line. -Graphics? Decent but it has optimization problems, but dosen't make a difference putting a shiny coat in a bad game. -All around this game is so cheaply made, you can see it's made by a indie company doing something bigger then they can make it. So now it the question How in the actual frick they have the audacidy to put this at 70$? ** I do not recommend it**, it's not all that they showing to be, if you want to buy it, buy when is 10~30$ maximum.
Echoes of Aincrad. Is it worth 70 dollars? Well... no. Echoes of Aincrad succeeds as an SAO experience more than it succeeds as a standalone action RPG. It captures the atmosphere, characters, and lore that fans love, but its restricted exploration and condensed progression prevent it from fully conveying the dread and accomplishment of climbing Aincrad’s 100 floors. For SAO veterans, it’s an enjoyable extension of the series; for newcomers, there are stronger action RPGs available.
Echoes of Aincrad, in its current state, is a solid 4/10. The game feels bare and like it was rushed to release. I really wanted more from this game and it currently barely delivers. The enemies are all the same 4 or 5 with different "variations", the world feels pretty empty and the chests, in said world, all have terrible loot like a bomb stone when you just used one to get to the chest. Progression, combat and sword skills all feel nice but its grossly underutilized when you're running around for almost an hour. The dungeons are only slightly better and it's not by much. Most of them feel pretty much the same but the loot from chests is a lot better. There are also unique ambushes in these dungeons that are fun at times. Unfortunately that doesn't matter when half of the enemies phase under floors and stay there. The bosses in these dungeons are also just reskins and don't give you anything but the same Annealed Blade you just grabbed 3 minutes ago. When I played the demo I was under the impression that it was like this because it was "the beta" in SAO and like the full release of it, there would be more at launch. Unfortunately I was wrong because there are no NPC's outside of towns, no random world events, no free exploration and no secret gear or skills to try and find. Couple that with the fact that there's somehow ONLY TWO FLOORS out of the 100 in the game and you get this. I understand that asking a studio to make 100 fully explorable and unique floors, WITH the brand new story they're using is a huge ask, let alone a huge idea but at least 5-10 would've been nice. I don't know what the future of this game is going to be like but I hope they add more to it because this shouldn't be selling for $70 USD.

this will be my first review of the game. cause most reviewers here are just straight up people that didnt do there research into the game. all this was known before the game came out: we knew there was no online, there was no open world fully, we knew there was no affection, we knew it was only 2 floors THAT WAS STATED THE FIRST THING THEY SAID this is just bdsp over again people dont listen. ill make a new review which is an actual review not someone who doesnt do there research. cause heres the fact people dont hear about: your going out of bound... your going out of bound... theres NO GAMES that allow you to go out of bound. most games even makes your character die for going out of bound. would you have prefered that?
This game is absolutely terrible. I played the demo in hopes that everything was going to get better once you make it through the "beta testing" tutorial. Developers spent enough time to make the environment LOOK like SAO but it falls flat. The world is empty. It missed more than half of the elements that make the game feel alive, and the combat is lackluster. "Open World SAO" was what was promised. Not a railed linear gameloop that offers little to no customization in equipment, mechanics and a huge lack of different enemy types. Mario64 on the N64 felt more alive than this game. DO NOT BUY this for the original price point. Give it a few months and pick it up for 15 dollars.
not enjoyable just kind of a waste of time in my opinion it gets so boring and repetitive while exploring floor 2 I got so burned out that I had to uninstall the game at first the game was okay but after doing the same exact thing for 9 hours straight I started to get bored the characters aren't even good (that's spoilers so I will not get into it) for anyone who doesn't want to do the same thing over and over again, listen to your companions say the same 7 lines over and over again as well as fighting the same 5 or so enemies through the entire game don't touch this game if you don't mind the above and you for some reason enjoy SAO then go ahead and play this game 4/10 and that's being generous
