Echo Isle

Remember the good old first ZELDA Games from Nintendo and SUper Nintendo`? You miss them? Then this may be the Game you have been waiting for. Welcome to ECHO ISLE! At first, i sadly have to say that there are no Screenshots this Time. Didn´t work. You are Aster, an Astral Knight send to an Isle to defeat the Darkness. Well, Nothing more to say, just save the day! ECHO ISLE feels exactly like the first Zelada Games. You start with Nothing. Find your Weapon and then give em Hell. kill Monster, destroy vases to get Hearts for your Health, find Secret Stones. On your way you have defeat Boss Monsters and in each of their Dungeons you will get new abilities. You Need them to enter Areas you can only enter using them. Follow the Story and have just fun. ECHO ISLE is a short Game, i was suprised how addicting it is. I started and About 2 Hours later i was through. But to be honest, that were the best gaming Moments in a long Time. I totally forgot About the Time. ECHO ISLE is really clever arranged. There is no annoying searching or something, you truly find your way easy. It is a really wonderfull Game, a big thanks to the Dev for creating this wondefull Retro Pearl. If you are Looking for an old School Zelda like Game, then this is for you. I really enjoyed this short old-school zelda-like game. The final boss is a bit hairy, but I did enjoy the whole thing. The only issue I have is that there are no achievements not even one for completing the game and you can't take a steam screenshot as (I guess) the steam overlay doesn't work. I like to prove that I completed a game in some way. Still and all a fun experience.

Echo Isle was a delightful, nostalgic adventure in a bite-sized package. It captured the older handheld game vibe really well and was a fun little playthrough. I enjoyed the different bosses and the silly npc interactions. The art is adorable, the music is lovely. The game is really short but it tells the story that it wants to tell and I appreciate it for that.

A short but fun 2D Zelda-like experience.

Cute little Zelda homage game from the GameBoy era

It's short and not very difficult, you will finish it in one sitting, easily. But it's worth it. A nice little game full of nostalgic nods to the games of the past. I enjoyed it.

Bite sized classic: Echo Isle is a roughly 1 hour long adventure game with the Game Boy Color art stylings and a smooth gameplay loop that gameboy zelda fans will find familiar. Great value, fun little game. Glad I bought it.

this game is an hour or so long, which might sound like a downside, but it is not. Because it is fun. A simple reason, but a powerful one. This will likely be a game I play through again every-so-often. I hope the dev made enough to make another one!
