Bought the game after watching a couple of the developer's videos on MMX6. Such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtBBFH2rOzo If you like Mega Man X style gameplay then the game is worth playing. Lots of weapons to chose from and different dash types to select. The game is still in early access and the developer nicely describes what content is ready to play. For 5-6 hours of gameplay with a $10 price tag it's worth it. Plus you'll get more time out of the game if you explore the challenge mode of replaying levels but with handicaps.
A title from the golden age of gaming. I bought this after catching a video randomly on reddit. It's like someone made a game just for me. A chunky blend of retro and modern storytelling in an RPG platformer that frankly feels like an amazing "Hades made on a SNES" work of passion. Absolutely love it. Highly recommended dedicating an entire afternoon playing this from start to finish.
Easoar is a fantastic tribute to retro games like mega man, which brings new life to the genre with high speed mobility and combat, From Soft style skill and item progression, and a truly delightful dose of comedic writing. I am highly enjoying it so far, and would recommend picking it up yourself. Well worth the price.
very Impressive game for essentially a solo project. The bosses are fun and all have their own unique flair which is great. Same goes for the aesthetics of the levels aswell as the world building, really makes you feel like you're only seeing the tip of that iceberg. The whole thing just oozes effort and attention to detail. Highlight for me was the fizzing foundry level. Hit that perfect combination of hard but fair which makes you blame yourself and not the game when you die. The subtle horror mystery aspect to the level was perfect and that end level boss fight.. oh man, that was so peak. Brought back fond memories of playing mercenary kings on the ps4. My first play through was around 9 hours, ive got 15.5 on record, but theres a ton of replayability with nightmare levels and even some speedrunning potential too. The best time i could manage was 46:03 ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pqu03W4Ojrw&t=2s Awesome game. Will definitely play an Act 2. Highly recommend.
adorei o jogo, principalmente a arte e as musicas! sucesso!
Colourful and unique game, love the classic feel. Very interested in the potential of the game play customisation and story
I've got about 6-ish hours into EASOAR, and while I know there's much more to explore, I'm definitely glad that I got a chance to check it out! A frantic side-scrolling shooter/platformer, with upgrades, weapons and subweapons that allow you to customize your playstyle? Check. It's reminiscent of many of the games from the Genesis/SNES era of gaming, and I'm picking up a lot of Mega Man X vibes, except this is much more fast-paced. The game has been running at a solid 60FPS the entire time I've played it, the spritework looks awesome, the sound design is great, and the soundtrack is killer, again blending some of what we may have heard on the Genesis/SNES, along with a few modern touches. The dialogue and character art is also very well done. It's been nothing short of an enjoyable experience so far. Please don't let the "Early Access" aspect prevent you from checking it out. It's well worth your time!
EASOAR slaps. If you're a fan of Metal slug, Mega Man X, and Gunstar heroes, but wanted the build intricacy of Dark Souls this is the game for you. -Story- The story is genuinely interesting and the dialog is very funny, the "you wake up and don't remember who you are" trope works great for this sort of game. -Gameplay- The controls are tight, it feels earned then you get hit or die, the default controls are a little wild to me, but remapping is included in the options, so who cares. It feels really good to buff juggle, and stretch out damage by properly dodging around an enemy and hitting with the right combo of dashes and weapon swaps to deal big damage or land a crit on a boss. -Looks- If you like SNES era sprite games, this is for you, it feels like a cross between X Chrono and Newgrounds games, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. At first I felt like the scale was a little too big. (like how megaman 7 feels) but you get used to it, and in some levels it changes. Everything makes sense, and looks like what it's supposed to be. The character avatars are amazing, props to the artist working on this, it's good to see nice character portraits in game like this. -Overall- I bought this to support the dev, when I found MMX6 - Viral Nightmare. Then I fell in love with THIS game. I'm only about half way though the available story, and already I can see myself getting lost in the loadout, and stat optimization that I loved so much in the Souls series, putting buffs and stat scaling in an X-Like is wild, and so fun to pay. Character customization, skill trees, weapon variations and upgrade systems, along with the flavor tree's for weapons at higher levels makes it feel like this game have really really good bones. I'm stoked to see where it goes. -Notes- My only performance note is that I experienced a bit of slowdown, that was fixed by exiting the game and reloading, this could be my PC, or a small memory leak, but for an early access game is no biggie, I've seen the dev's work and I'm sure the final project will run like butter.
Aos brasileiros que querem uma experiência de run and gun, esse aqui é uma banger tá!
Yes I also found about it thanks to the Mega Man X6 videos. Good marketing strategy, haha I only played the first level so far, but it's really nice. I only wish instead of having a button to change between two weapons, the button just fired the other weapon. Maybe it makes sense later if there can be equipped more than 2 weapons. Nitpick aside, enjoyable; already recommended it to a friend.
