Jim wasn't always a studly super-worm. He was once just a spineless, dirt-eater with no real mission in his life...

As much as I have a childhood fondness of playing EWJ on the PC (the Windows 95 disc version published by Activision) this DOS release unfortunately comes with an audio bug where the sound effects cut out only a minute into playing, and the game would randomly exit out on me numerous times. Unfortunately DOSBox isn't perfect in this regard.
Impossible à jouer (manette pas reconnue et touches mal positionnées), bug au niveau du sons en partie. Je ne conseil pas ce jeu.
This game is a graphic acid trip. Thoroughly fun to play.
Weird ass game, wtf was this acid trip
Classic shenanigans. Worth a play at least once, (or a watch on YouTube).

Thanks to the creators of this best, сharismatic, immortal game.
This game was too confusing, and i still feel confused playing it. But if you like it then good for you!
I was going to do a huge review of EWJ and the series as a whole, but steam crashed and I have to start over. This is a life lesson for everyone; if you think something you are writing is important, write it somewhere where it can be saved. Last thing you want is for progress to be lost. Overall, earthworm jim 1 & 2 are extremely overrated average games; the only thing holding it together is nostalgia and the art direction. Even the music falls apart when you realize there are only 3-4 good songs while the rest of lazily grabbed from public domain. Controlling Jim is stiff, slow, and heavy; you have this bulk of a man (worm) trying to platform like you're trying to throw a brick onto something. You see, I have this understanding from playing modern games; many games now- and some back then- have all shown better ways to do 2D platforming. We are completely spoiled by characters that feel good to move around in their space. EWJ is a fat ugly brick that just barely makes it onto whatever unimposing ledge is there. Game sucks, levels are the same thing with different backgrounds, and there is constant filler levels in between. Use your head, chicken fall, snot a problem are examples of what should have been the in between, rather than the stupid astroid race 5 times. The game also lacks a lot of feedback; attacking enemies, jumping around, knowing if you are doing damage or not. You kind of just exist, and then either get your ass kicked or land on spikes. ♥♥♥♥ it; not worth your time. As someone who played this games as a child- and went back to play years earlier- I can say with confidence that the only thing keeping this games interesting is nostalgia and art direction. It's both goofy and serious; with whacky character animations, situations, and dialogue in a dark, grim environment. overall 4/10 tbh do not buy this game. key word here is buy; you can still play it, just don't buy it
