A game that delivers its promise on letting the player finally experience the things they see in the openings of DW games and building a great foundation for future games, but in terms of its actual content it blows its load early and the successful first impression quickly starts to wear off the further in you get, battles start to take far too long for the amount of effort you can put into trying to clear objectives with not enough interesting things happening as well as lacking map variety that older games are known for. The bonding stuff is a cool idea but the majority of them is "lets eat" or "man i love my job" or "i NEED ziluan" and that starts to wear thin too with how many characters you'll be running around with for each route, at a certain point I started skipping them. If you're a DW fan you might be disappointed in the lack of variety, but you can play it as perhaps a tech demo or a prototype for future games instead and it'll feel a lot more fun. If you are someone that doesn't like Warriors/Musou, this game isn't going to fix all your problems with it. If you are completely new to DW, there's definitely worse places to start.

really good
恭喜爹可以称帝了
fun game for time killing
Not a huge fan of the new narrative choices and side story, but it matters little because the action is the best it has been in decades. Dynasty Warriors 5 and onward were way too easy, and while you still cut through troops like butter, the new combat system and troop tactics system actually makes fighting the enemy a fun challenge. First musou game I've found myself genuinely enjoying since Dynasty Warriors 4, and a great step in the right direction.

割草最总要就是爽!
I have played a lot of the Warriors games, both samurai and dynasty, and this might be my favorite one. I've been alternating between this and Samurai Warriors 5 which is excellent in its own right. But something about how they took this game back to feeling more grounded while also still having that Kung Fu movie feel to the combat. You aren't hovering around the battlefield in a flash like you do in Samurai Warriors 5, and the combat is definitely less flashy. Just did one of the first big battles and there is a charge into the enemy army that just gave me goosebumps. And as always the soundtrack goes hard. Would love to see a game in the Samurai Warriors series with this same feel and style of graphics.
