Great game made with a game engin not made for the job! using just the Adventure Game Studio show how much contact it have to be push into it, i can hear the smoke from the engin trying to run this awesome game!
It is a fun game once you get used to it and pretty big but they changed the map and now the devlopers website leads to a very boring website about hentai so it takes a bit to find anything now.

Great open world game. Has a nice campy feel to it. Controls are not too difficult and I enjoy the retro combat system. To me it is a feature rather than a flaw. My only real major complaint is navigation. I am not sure where I am going at a certain point in the story and there isn't that many clues as how to get there or where it would be. The map doesn't hold any clues and resources don't hold long enough for me to make a complete sweep of the map.
Few games, VERY, few game leave me this stunned and speechless. I quite honestly don't know what else there is to say, this game goes down amongst the likes of Darwinia and Brigador for games that I dearly love and cherish. As for the game itself It has a verry Wasteland 1 esque to it, If you played Wasteland 1 or even 2 you'd know and you'd probobly also know how that sets it apart from the Fallout's more silly 50s feel. This game is grim, it's as grim as they come, even the ending is grim. This isn't a post apocalyptic game where you save the day and establish yourself as the sole gaurdian of civilization *cough*fallout4*cough* no, this is a game where every second, every discesion, every action goes twoards making things last just a little bit longer in an increasingly futile situation. This game isn't about a new happy civilization burgioning out of the ruins. It is a grim scrape and claw for survival in a world where every action buys humanity mere seconds on the ever looming doomsday clock.
For how low fi it is, it gives me all the notes of a great apocalyptic rpg. Proof of concept that you don't need trip a graphics to have an excellent adventure.
Not a very deep game. I have ocd and NEED to finish games I play - only reason I have as much time as I do.
I like it!
I've only played this a few times but I've lost hours to it every time. It's kind of like a dusty final fantasy with a heavy heap of old school VGA point-and-clickers. CRT monitor recommended
Looks can be deceiving. Dustbowl is more intricate than it looks. The freedom to explore and scavenge at your own pace makes it akin to classic Fallout games, despite the movement and combat being different. The length of the game was pretty spot on for me. I stayed invested to the end of the main plot and (I believe) I completed all the side quests as well.
