This game brings back so many things I love about my favorite childhood games: Platforming, combat, nice level design, catchy soundtrack. Wish they made more games like this, and less generic garbage. The kid inside me is crying with tears of joy

I've definitely fallen in love with this game. A near perfect blend of platforming and fluid combat, where the ps2 era inspiration is felt but doesn't come off as a sloppy copy-paste. Any complaints I have are really just nitpicks and personal taste. I think anyone who plays this could find something to enjoy!
Jogo legal, recomendo...
El juego esta muy bien
Game play in awesome and smooth on everything I have played on but now twice I have had the Steam cloud F up my save from device to device lost now 12 hours of game time with no way to fix all check points and Manuel saves are saved to one spot and if cloud wants it over wrights doesn’t looks for date or time just over writes not sure if I will complete the game now
Duskfade is a beautiful game, and it's the kind of game that whispers into your ear that it is a game of the year contender while going "shhhh" as you begin to speak ill of the subpar combat. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I really liked Duskfade. It certainly will not win an overall Game of the Year award by me, it might get Soundtrack of the year. The Soundtrack is fantastic. There's like at least 90 different pieces of musical works, most of which play at perfect intervals and provide an almost cinematic experience. It is the one thing the game never fails to deliver on. Without the music I'm not sure I'd of pushed all the way to the end, because gameplay and story are certainly the weak points. Voice acting is pretty minimal outside of some cutscenes. There's a very old school PS2-era vibe to the in-game chatter, because it's grunts and words/name in the singular variety. Not much else to say about that. They did good here. Even Cuckoo the bird that follows you around. And I hate Cuckoo. Easily a companion NPC I'd send off to the fire pits of North Virginia. Cuckoo's voice acting is fine. Swell, even. But they're a cocky character. Practically useless, even if they do sort've help out in combat.. Take a hit, miss a jump, and they'll make a quip about your failure. If I could have put them into a box, tossed them into the volcano, and then fed them to a bear. I would not have. Because the bear didn't deserve that. Cuckoo is also like... metal. Level design starts off fantastic. There are areas that you won't be able to access until you've unlocked certain tool/weapon upgrades.. And that's... Ehh.. It's ok I guess. But I don't think the game has the actual depth needed to convince you to spend more time in the game after you've been through a certain area. The extra unlocks are more of a "for funsies," than in any way necessary. Level design does start to collapse into the pits of precision platforming hell in the latter half though. Frustrating jumps. A camera that hates you and makes even the most trivial of platforming feel like you're on an episode of MxC or Wipeout. Combat never grows in depth despite multiple enemy types being added as you enter new zones. Combat really just becomes more annoying rather than interesting and engaging. Boss fights, aside from the last one, really all follow the same kind of general mechanics. You do some damage and then have some platforming to do so you can do a thing so you can attack the boss again. Wait too long and there's this persistent damage you'll take which also screws you if you're trying to make a jump. Basically I hated most boss fights. They just weren't fun. And due to the simplicity of combat things just felt so dang repetitive overall. In the end I do think it is a good game. Heck, I'd probably give it an 8 out of 10. It's just great.
Jogo legal e divertido.
