Great little game that'll kill about 10-15 hours on your first playthrough depending on whether you're a completionist or not, due to optional backtracking to earlier zones once you have the right gear. For me, I was fine with just doing as much as I could on the first run and moving on, so my playthrough was around 12 hours. There's an all round nice flow to the pacing through each area, with several beautifully designed biomes. Duskfade is a love letter to classic platformers both visually and from a gameplay standpoint, with smooth, semi-floaty, but satisfying platforming mechanics from beginning to end that are incorporated into boss fights. The combat is fine, though I feel like it COULD have been a little better its absolutely passable for what you get. Lock-on is a little iffy, everything ignores your attacks so combos are easily disrupted, it doesn't feel like there's much weight behind your swings and most of the time the enemies are just 'annoying' for lack of a better word, with some spongy boys mid to late game. 90% of the encounters are short and sweet though and generally the platforming aspect overshadows the combat encounters. The story was fine, though a little predictable...nothing that will blow you away or that's oscar worthy. Its just fun with a very clear and easy to follow narrative. Though not generally a MASSIVE problem for me personally as I got used to it quickly, there's no way to change keybinds either so you're stuck with what you get and I know that can be quite a common issue for a lot of people, so hopefully they think about adding that in as a feature down the line! Other than that, looks great, runs fine and I only had one fatal error crash around 9-10 hours in during the first encounter with a new enemy. Thankfully the game auto-saves so often and has plenty of checkpoints that I literally only lost like 5 seconds of progress. Solid 7/10!

A love letter to the PS2-era of platformers. The game wears its inspirations on its sleeve and does a commendable job mixing them into its own brand of 3D action platforming goodness. Movement feels wonderful from the start and only gets better as the game goes on. The combat, while never too complex, feels punchy and fluid. Mixing and matching melee combos with the various abilities keeps combat feeling fresh throughout the game's ~15 hour runtime. While I don't love everything about the game's visuals, the environments are generally beautiful and varied. The game also hides a lot of secrets to give you a reason to explore every corner of said environments. One of my biggest qualms with the game is the lack of any sort of mapping system in combination with the level sizes. I don't mind the levels being massive at all, in fact I prefer it in a lot of cases, but when paired with the lack of a map of any kind it makes any sort of backtracking a major pain point. With the freedom of movement in the game it is sometimes very hard to tell which areas are meant to be explored and which are just window dressing. A map would go a long way towards solving that issue. Overall a game I loved my time with and hope to see others embrace. While not perfect and definitely in need of a few quality-of-life improvements, what is there is a wonderful 3D platformer that doesn't just mimic its inspirations but stands on its own as a new IP.
I really wanted to like this game because I loved Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper but this game isn't anywhere near as good as them. My biggest gripes are the writing and dialogue, the characters are bland, humourless and forgettable, the reason the characters in Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank were so great was because they were silly and absurd and constantly cracking jokes that a boy would find funny. I tried to be patient and give them a chance but it quickly became boring and I found myself skipping the chance to interact with optional npc's after a while. Another issue is the combat, it's very similar to the latest Ratchet & Clank game in that you constantly have to be mashing the dodge key, but for no apparent reason the dodge key is bound to Q, which is an issue when you're constantly trying to maneuver with WASD because you have to take a finger off them to press Q, it should have either been bound to a key I could press with my thumb or pinky like Alt or Shift or Ctrl, or there should have been an option to rebind the keys, because for some other reason you can't rebind any of the keys. There is also an issue with the camera lock on, even when you lock onto an opponent, every time you jump it breaks the camera lock until you touch the ground again and the camera turns in the direction you're jumping which almost defeats the purpose of having the lock-on turned on in the first place because you'll lose sight of the boss and get hit by their attacks. You collect gems and these special gear things in order to purchase upgrades, but in nearly 2hrs of play I never even got the chance to spend any of them even after going through what felt like 3-4 different areas and 2 major boss fights so it started to feel almost pointless to collect them after a while. I would have overlooked the combat issues if the characters were absurd and actually funny and there was more humour in the game but I can't be bothered to play through another 12 hours of blandness even if the graphics and animations are nice.
O combate é bem simples no início tendo apenas golpes comuns a disposição.
Is a fun game. but the colored paint guidance, white color yellow paint, i can not give it a positive until there is a way to remove it if you don't want it.
Dura umas 7-9 horas.
Duskfade is a representation of everything that is right with modern indie games, a game with charm, a unique story, enjoyable platfroming to the likes of Classic Ratchet & Clank games and a runtime that is not too short nor too long for the asking price. I genuinely really enjoyed this game in all it's aspects, setpiece design was amazing, characters and lore was interesting and unique albeit a bit clichê even though there is absolutely no problem if you take in consideration this can be enjoyed at all ages. This has been a year where I've been investing heavily and buying a bunch of Indie games and this is one where I'd give my definite seal of recommendation. We need more of this!
