About
Dungeons & Kingdoms is a medieval fantasy strategy and RPG hybrid. Take control as leader of a small group of refugees fleeing from an unlivable homeland. Make landfall in a new world and start a new life. Build everything yourself. Or lay down blueprints and give orders to your loyal colonists. Build infrastructure, manage needs, gather resources, farm crops and hunt wild animals. Do whatever it takes to survive.
Then dive into dangerous dungeons and face the monsters within. Explore every room, test your combat abilities and defeat the dungeon bosses to reap the rewards, unlock new resources and advance your tech.
Forage and farm for food to keep your villagers alive. Craft tools. Harvest resources to build shelters and early buildings to advance your economy. You'll need to brave realistic full day and night cycles as you live through the seasons and gain valuable skills and knowledge.
Upgrade and construct unique buildings through a modular building system. Mix and match over 100 unique building pieces, with more to come during early access. Create buildings from scratch or make blueprints that you can edit, improve, and share on the Steam Workshop.
Sculpt the terrain and make it hospitable for your new settlement - Flatten large areas for farming, raise or lower platforms for building plots, fill in valleys, dig out moats and trenches. Paint lush grassy and forest areas or remove vegetation to make room for more roads, buildings, and people.
Take on the dangers that live outside your walls. Hunt wild beasts to feed your villagers and protect the roads from outlaws and raiders in third person action RPG style combat. Protect your people, defend your lands, and project your kingdom's power.
Discover ancient ruins and temples, then face the monsters within. Explore every room, test your combat abilities and defeat the dungeon bosses to reap the rewards and advance your kingdom's tech

The only reason I upvote for this game is that the Dev seems to really want to make the game work. 2 hotfixes within a week makes one hope. THat being said if you search for a somewhat finished game, then skip this one. You can do barely anything at the moment. However if you want to support the dev into further developing the game, check it out. The Concept of a city builder combined with a dungeon crawler seems nice.
Yes i can recommend the game, because of its vision and its tremendous potential! Im sure, if the dev keeps working hard on the game, it will be a great masterpiece of an game ive always dreamed of.
Its a Work in progress but looks to have good potential
Generally a yes but: - Wait until you have more content and the gameplay is really refined. There are UI changes and more explanations needed in regards of steering free cam, Building, overall movement. The potential is there. AI movement was good, good graphics and easy assignment of jobs. I wonder, how you would progress more.
the loading screens are very slow or it don't load at all and when I finish a quest there way to go back
1 Hours tutorial to restart game. Demo and demo... 2 demo. Full game in not in game x2 (Thats 4). 4 hours build ONE simple home workers are buged walking, bug trees chop/clean. NPC yell "I'm STUCK!". Goblin cave, super dark (take 6x lite), no armour, little(and gone) food. no fish in game, terrrable crafing. You buy a demo :). you can't kill a mob (2 gobs). Ugly house for 100 trees. Can't delete in game - build it's for ever. No testers... Thait I'm the tester! I what my chash back! :D
It might have been better to develop it a bit more before getting out to the world but with a lot of love and work this can easily become a great city management/building game. It's super clunky but after doing the tutorial by the letter, following step by step what was on main objective in middle of screen I could easily finish the tutorial without much effort. Yes had to reset npc's one or twice cause they can easily freeze, for now you need to babysit them a bit. Combat? It's like the rest could use some more polish but again, I've seen way worst combat than in this... in released game at that :P We need more tho, only village stuff is available for now, I will wait for more content and update this review as needed. I kinda get all the hate it received, like I said its way early far from prime time at this point it's a gamble, but I really enjoyed building couple small shack until I found out that it was all I was gonna do ^^. It's early alpha so not for everyone, can't wait to build some kind of castle! I wish luck to people working on this, that's a great concept by working hard it could become a great game.
