One of my favorite games. It is fairy simple, but becomes much more difficult as the dungeon grows: both in size and in popularity. I like trying to keep my monsters alive by putting them in positions where they can grow relatively safely. It is kind of relaxing to play, as most of the game runs by itself. Though you have to be wary of leaving monsters alone too long, as there is perma-death for your main dungeon creatures. All in all it is a game where your monsters take a fair amount of work to grow, you become kind of attached to them. Try different fusions or room combinations to help them get stronger and generally try to protect your dungeon inhabitants.
Dungeon Manager ZV is really good, I don't have as much of a playtime as I wish I did on it but I find myself constantly thinking about this game. What is so good about it? This game hits a very specific micro-management game and idle/clicker game. Min-maxing this game is surprisingly satisfying and watching the simulations happen in real time, with the ability to speed or slow them down at will is pretty fantastic, it also has a decent replayability, you will most likely "beat" the "campaign" in about 5 or 6 hours, but to get all the achievements or to aim for a high score on the leaderboards you'll spend another 10~15 hours at very least. The dynamic difficulty, the "endless" aspect and freedom of being able to do things however you want at your own pace are some of the most enjoyable aspects of this game, which make it very special to me. I'm gonna be real with you here, this game is basically a "spreadsheet" game, all you get is a couple of menus and that's where the whole game happens, so if you have some imagination then by all means you should play this game, if you don't think you can handle a game where you're staring at mostly text, then I would suggest checking "Dungeon Manager ZV: Resurrection" and "Dungeon Manager ZV 2" instead, as they to seem to be more visually appealing. I have not played them at the moment of writing this review (I plan on doing so) but if the system of the sequels is similar to this game, then they are most likely gems of their own. My only complaint about this game is that it's locked to a 640x480 resolution and you can't really do windowed mode because of it, but it's understandable for an old "indie" japanese game (2004). If you like simulation/clicker/management games, this is a really good title to check out.
15 years ago,i played this game for a long time,but I didn't pay.Now I found it ,it's a good game.
No resolution options (you get fullscreen or no fullscreen) Limited QoL options. This game, depending on how you play, is basically just an idle game. There is a very easy way to win via an exploit: Make a U shape, then delete the lower right corner. Now you have 4 spaces that the enemy can't reach and you can put whatever items you want there. Make zombies and traps then go idle on fast (place a rock or something on your shift key to speed the game up even more). Come back, build your next floor the same way. Then the next. Repeat until floor 10. Now, on floor 10, you still want to be doing the same thing as before, but now you want to fill the first floors so that they are full 3x3 squares with max zombies and traps. Do this for the first 3 floors. This will be your dark generator section (make more floors into generators as you can because later on you will be needing a lot). Basically, you want the enemies to kill your zombies in mass quantities so turn every zombie into full attack so that they die faster (and the enemies will be weaker when they reach your lower floors). Go to your 10th floor and you can start making Z.Demons (You can be making these earlier as well). These are your early immortal units (You will eventually be making Z.Dragons). Make Golems and Slimes, level them to 30, combine them, combine the results. These will be your basic unit. Fill all but your last 6 monster slots with them. Fill 4 slots with demons, then 1 golem and 1 slime. You will now have a good point to work on your achievements (note, if you ONLY want the achievements, you can skip leveling them to 30 and just get high enough to combine). If your units are dying a lot, you can make them your big 4 or your final boss (It will cost you 30 dark per revive, but that is what the dark generators are for. From this point, you can easily win. For your 13th floor, you can do the U and remove trick again, but this time, make your stairs on the invincible tiles (yes, you can do that). Your bottom floors are now completely immune to enemies. Go and stash all your treasures and non-immortal units (that you aren't training up) here. You'll eventually get all the kill achievements this way without any effort. This exploit has never been fixed and probably never will.

Pretty fun game. Wish it had a little bit more depth. Resolution Options or borderless fullwindow mode would be nice.
Excellent dungeon simulation! As long as EA continue to do free to play, that s the best alternative out there
Great game towards the end of the night when the time for twitchy arcade games are past, and you just want to click through menus furiously and try and tempt one more party of adventurers in too deep then snatch their stuff! You play as a manager for a dungeon/mine and have to allocate resources and hire monsters (through pop up menus) to balance challenging adventurers (but letting them go) to increase your reputation (and get better parties) AND crushing the heroes and taking their treasures for your dungeon's boss room. The game has a speed control so if you click and read really fast you can, or if you'd rather take it easy and maybe check out and recognize each hero (the game has names and information on each one, and the ones that escape sometimes return!) you can set it slow and watch the whole scenario play out. Highly recommend as a second game between playing action ones.
