Good game from a good person. Having now completely 100% achieved the game, here are my thoughts: I played the demo, so I had a solid idea of what to expect from the full game. It's a puzzle platformer, straight up. The aesthetic, story, and feel of the game is a way bigger selling point, though. It's very warm and fuzzy (mostly because furry girls ;) ), but then it gets very real. The writing was something I enjoyed throughout. Each character felt unique and interesting. The dialogue is often funny, interesting, or able to draw me in very deeply. The main girls have a voice I am able to hear in my head, complete with accent and mannerisms. This, coupled with the entirely unique way they each handle and the abilities they have make it a fun interaction all around. There was only one part I felt a bit frustrated with near the end, but it's in what is to be the final dungeon, and thus very difficult (the game even tells you this), but overall, I really only have minor nitpicks which mostly center around certain areas being a little difficult to navigate sometimes due to the "mandatory" way the characters control. Common to many platformers, once you commit to an action, it pretty much will complete that action whether or not that was your intent. But that can be fixed with "git gud" or practice. If I have any advice on the game, it is this: be patient, try and experiment, and READ EVERYTHING. Otherwise, just have fun with the best cow, moth, and satyress in video game history!
I did NOT expect Dungeon Gals to to his hard. I expected it to be fun and well-designed, sure, but I was incredibly invested in that climax - the girls are just really endearing and their character were built subtly but perfectly over the whole game. It's a great puzzle-platformer made by someone who loves Wario Land, La-Mulana and the GBA! You should buy it now!!!
Really really beautiful game. Full of heart, incredibly well put together. Story wise, it's main focus is emotional connection, it wants you to feel for the characters involved, and I love that. Gameplay, it's an absolutely lovingly put together collection of puzzles that keep you immersed in the world and constantly needing to think through things, without ever being unapproachably hard. The bosses are all pretty interesting, trying to figure out how to use your three characters, and I loved all the little animations that gave each of the gals a real personality. Worth your time, seriously
excellent puzzle platformer avec beaucoup de charme et de perso queer tout mims (donc les perso principal ) jouez y NOW!!!!
I find that when a game contains heavy "woke" themes, it often feels highly performative and it's often in expense of the gameplay for the sake of pushing a narrative. This game however, didn't have such problems. It didn't feel performative and felt more like a passion project with a real story to tell. I like the characters, I found them charming. I enjoyed the story. And the gameplay was great. Puzzles were fun, not too hard, not too easy either. The character swapping mechanic reminded me a little of The Lost Vikings which I adored as a child. I 100% the game in 10.5 hours and didn't encounter any noticible bugs, and only encountered 1 very replicable crash, but it's since been fixed. I'd say overall I enjoyed the game alot and Wendy was my favourite character of the three, she's a cutiepie.
Overall a really solid platformer with lovable characters, banging music and diverse environments and mechanics for them. The gals are really endearing and exploring each level was a treat finding all the collectables.
This game rules, the girls are so cute and so nice to each other and the puzzles are fun
Effortlessly charming, I fell in love with all three gals immediately. Feels so good to play, if you like oldschool platformers and/or puzzle platforming, you won't be disappointed!
Vraiment, foncez <3 ------------------------------ A delightful mix between 2D platformer, side view dungeons exploring, and puzzles! The 3 playable characters each have their own traits and are very versatile, it's enjoyable to rack our brains figuring out how to use each of their skills to progress! And the writing is also lovely! It's rare to see a queer polycule represented in a video game, and even rarer to be able to play as all their members! The 3 main characters are appealing, they portray different aspects of LGBTQ+ identities, and their sweet interactions are very pleasing to see! Really a gem <3
