Dungeon Core is a roguelite top-down shooter where you get to explore the sewers and beyond to ultimately reach an old underground research facility. Old nuclear waste has caused dangerous mutations in creatures due to a failed experiment. You set out to destroy the abandoned nuclear core.

I'll change my review to positive when I can play with a controller. I like to play these types of games with controller, but currently there is a game breaking bug/glitch that happens when using a controller. The character continues to move in the same direction you started until your gun's mag is empty. So you can end up walking into a pit, running right into danger, etc. In fact, it happens to a smaller extent even with the semi-auto weeapons. To be clear the game would be like 8/10 if not for this game breaking issue. So in its current state I cannot play. FYI I'm not the only person to post about this in discussions.
I saw this game being played by Splattercat on Youtube and instantly loved it. The controller support is fantastic. Game is addicting. Can't wait until there's more areas bosses.
This is fun. Def needs more guns and perks though. Also, a bit more absurd random events would be sick. I do love rogue-like twin sticks though and I'll continue to play. Just hope support doesn't dwindle since my meat is small.
A Enter the gungeon 2. More serious, more creepy, more deadly. Beat the game in 8 hours with a lot of retry. Good game, need more games likes this!
Binding of Isaac meets Rogue Legacy! I really like this game. It reminds me of The Binding of Isaac (which is one of my favorite games) but this is a different game, a bit harder at start and has a lot of different mechanics it being roguelite type. Will definitely finish it, I just need to grind for better stats and to get to know enemies a little bit. I think this is a must buy for roguelike/roguelite games fans and most definitely for Binding of Isaac fans. https://youtu.be/NANjZe-OiwU
Communication is not available for the most part. "This game will be in early access for 5-6 months." dev on August 8th 2022. If a game takes longer in early access np, but there is such a lack of communication and updates come very infrequently so this is a negative. For me personally, devs who dont communicate after a while kill the general idea of early access.
If you liked Enter the Gungeon, you'll probably like this too. The weapons and items aren't too varied. But it plays well, has juicy audio and decent visuals.
This is Last Product of All Top Down Shooter Kind!
I read in another review that it gave off Undermine vibes and so I immediately purchased Dungeon Core. That reviewer was not wrong. It really does kind of have that feel. I dont have a lot of playtime in at the moment but from what I have played, Ive very much enjoyed. Also, it works great on the Steam Deck!
