a tightly designed arcade game that seriously scratches that score-chasing itch (it was very funny to upload my score and be placed directly below derek yu and daisuke amaya lol) even without reading the development articles, it's obvious that the developer has a deep love for classic namco titles, and has gone so far as to recreate their limits in terms of graphics and audio: a very strict 16-color palette is used and the sounds were made using a synthesizer designed to replicate the C30 sound engine arcades were well before my time, but i had always been obsessed with namco's library (mappy in particular), so to play this game almost feels like closing a loop of sorts <3

Show me your power, tabby cat! Having played a bit more I'm surprised at the depth and how elegant the game is actually designed, although it may seem like a simple game at first. The way the beginner achievement is getting 1,000,000 points, and only after that the guide wallpaper changes to explain the achievement systems. The way there's a special 'cats and dogs' mode that lets you start from Lv 29. I encourage people to check out the guides written by dairis in the Guides section. I came a single lap from beating the game, and i'm sure i will soon

It's rare to find modern games that can capture the experience of the classic arcade era this well - a unique challenge that's instantly understandable, yet endlessly replayable. It's something I find myself coming back to every now and then and could easily picture putting a couple quarters into an arcade to play this when I happen across a cabinet. Great game! (I played it on Switch)

this game is so fun!! the badge system naturally guides you toward playing well. would love a raindrop sprinters 2 soon! i havent beaten the game yet but i got to the last 5 laps. im not sure how im getting some of the badges but i think its very fun regardless

Solid new arcade type title, enjoyed thoroughly!

「水滴を避けて右端まで渡る」を繰り返すだけのゲームに丁寧さとこだわり。そして「頑固さ」が詰め込まれている。 ストーリーを楽しめるゲームが「旅行」だとしたら、このゲームは短い時間で堪能する「ラーメン」のような物だ。 作者はこのゲームについて「ターゲットは誰か」と問われて答えが見つからなかったそうだが、実際に誰にでも遊べるゲームだし、その上で人を選ぶゲームだと思う。 このラーメンが好きかどうかは、たぶん年齢とか性別は関係ない。一度食べたらそれっきりの人もいれば、みごとにハマって週一とか毎日食べたい人もいる。 素材に何を使っているとか製法がどうとか、細かいことは気にせずにこのラーメンを食べればいい。じっくり味わってみてどうだったかが答えなのだ。 値段もラーメン１杯分くらいだから、さっそく食べて行ってはどうだろうか？

This is not a game for casuals. This is a game for GAMERS. If this goes on sale, I highly recommend it for less than a cup of coffee. It is obvious how much love and care the dev put into the scoring system and mechanics of the game. Scratches the unique itch for just one more run.
