About
Dune: Awakening is an epic Open World Survival Game where you get to fully immerse yourself in one of science fiction’s most iconic worlds.
You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.
Whether you prefer to play alone or with friends, Dune: Awakening gives you the opportunity to explore a vast, open world Arrakis brimming with secrets to discover, stories to investigate, gadgets to craft, vehicles to assemble, and bases to build. You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone in full single-player, multiplayer with friends on a self-hosted or rented private server, or with hundreds of other players on a public server. The full game, with all its features, content, and story, is available regardless of which mode you choose. Both single-player and private multiplayer offer extensive gameplay customization options, allowing you to scale difficulty and tune gameplay options however you like.

If you like the Dune universe and want an immersive gameplay that is in that said universe, look no further. I think I have found my new addiction. And so fun to play with friends too!
This is by far one of the worst games i have played in a long time. Its so broken on so many levels that Steam should be ashamed (but we know they have none) to allow this to be sold. I am not going to list all the problems, because its a waste of my time, just know that unless this is free and even its not worth playing in its state, and i don't care about single or anything they say about fixing as they are lairs and really already have your money. And by the time you figure out how broken it is, NO REFUND, so f-steam too!

Every market we collect.
Same day: best AU #7, worst BR #69 · 11 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 13.43/day in the week to Aug 8 → 19.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

They ruined this game when they listened to the pve complaints. the game dies more each day. if i could refund i would. they bait and switched me.
Failed to deliver on the vision it promised.
No one was getting wiped in the starting areas. It was already an incredibly safe, straightforward tutorial phase before any of these nerfs ever happened.Splitting the systems completely between a "Console/Casual" mode and a "Veteran" mode for the public servers is exactly what Funcom should have done to keep the game engaging for players who don't want a hand-holding experience. Instead, they blanket-nerfed the public servers across the board just to make the game "accessible" for the console launch crowd, sacrificing the actual fun and tension for everyone else. Turning an already way to easy beginning zone grind into a brainless maintenance and walking simulator. The only silver lining is that they technically did separate the systems, but they trapped the harder difficulty settings inside the new Offline Single-Player Mode.
waste of time and money.
Really enjoyed storyline, fear of worm and gathering most materials. End game is tedious, long and unrewarding. At this time to max out 1 of 5 skill trees once you have completed main story would take literal months of your time due to the extreme timegating. You can complete 5 missions per day that take anywhere from 10-30 minutes and are the same missions over and over. It seems like developers are pushing for intentional burnout. Really fun survival game then suddenly monotonous repetitive grind to the top.
Overall, a great game and worth the money (Especially during a sale). The early and mid game are 11/10. It gets a bit grindy and repetetive towards the end game. But just playing up to that point is 100% worth it. Can't wait for more content.
I’ve followed the development of the game from the beginning, and can say the developers have done a wonderful job. From closed and open beta, launch, reworking and responding to community recommendations, to current development and additions to the game. Very impressed and looking forward to playing this game for many years to come.
If you're going to have a mechanic like the complete destruction of a character's equipment from a death to a sandworm, you're game can't just crash randomly while a player is on open sand.
