You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone in full single-player, multiplayer with friends on a self-hosted or rented private server, or with hundreds of other players on a public server. The full game, with all its features, content, and story, is available regardless of which mode you choose. Both single-player and private multiplayer offer extensive gameplay customization options, allowing you to scale difficulty and tune gameplay options however you like.

This is a big
NO!!
, don't even waste your time! Yes, I played for a while and it was fun until the items you grind and work so hard to get start to deteriorate and become unusable forcing you to GRIND again to recreate such items,
I ALREADY HAVE A DAY JOB AND DONT NEED ANOTHER THAT WILL NOT PAY ME REAL CASH SO HARD PASS
. wasted my hard-earned money on a bottom less time-wasting pit, seems to me european game designers have allot of time in their hands or HAVE A VERY BORING LIFE to develop a game that forces you to grind over and over like a slave and get nothing out of it except more grinding. I wish I could get a refund or partial refund on this, but one thing is certain I will not continue t play the grind game for it is useless.

Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was playing Dune: Awakening as part of a 50-player guild, and we were actively building an academy with the goal of bringing in 50+ more players. But after the recent changes, we stopped playing and left the game. We didn’t build a large guild just to peacefully farm PvE content. We played for territory, conflict, alliances, rivalries, politics, and - most importantly - the risk of losing everything. That risk gave meaning to progression and made having a large guild actually matter. Now PvP is increasingly becoming an optional activity, while more and more of the game is designed around safe and relaxing PvE. For us, this removed the reason to keep building the guild. We were preparing to grow, and instead we left. Developers, please look at EVE Online. After more than 20 years, it remains one of the best references for sandbox MMO design because loss matters. Ships, territory, resources, corporations and entire empires can be lost. That risk creates stories, conflict, cooperation and reasons for players to stay. Dune has the perfect setting for this. We don’t want a safe PvE sandbox. We want Arrakis to be dangerous. We want something worth fighting for - and something we can actually lose.
I had a good run with Dune: Awakening, through both the good and the bad. There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said—it has its limitations, but it was fun for what it was. I took a break a few months ago and decided to come back when new content dropped and other were annouced. Unfortunately, I went on holiday and logged back in to find my base powered down. Losing a few vehicles wasn't the main issue, but I had all my resources stored in the large cargo container for the transport ornithopter. It was destroyed, taking 100+ hours worth of grind and farmed materials with it. I know managing power was ultimately on me, but losing that much progress is an immediate exit point for me. I don't see myself recovering from that setback or returning anytime soon. It was a good game for what it was, but that's where my journey ends. the lost does leave a after taste i must say
So I've finally decided to give it a go after they added single player mode (I tested it via Public Test Client in your Steam library, so don't get fooled by my short playtime, as Public Test Client is a separate thing) World seems interesting, cutscenes are okay, some are bland others stunning. I like the gunplay so far. Sounds are okay too. Music is nothing special but also nothing terrible. It's a bit buggy, even control settings have bugs that if you change one key it shows all in red even if you didn't really change them from their default settings.. Had to press ''restore default'' but after one small change they will show conflicts again, so I guess vanilla settings has conflicts in them as default or something. No idea about controller, I don't play RPG/shooters with a controller. Character creator is still so barebones... Sliders are very odd, they just enlarge body parts without actually making it appear more muscular, looks very odd and unnatural If you set sliders higher than 5-6 it makes bodies look so odd, especially male chars. Like for example you want your character to be more muscular and move sliders to 7 or 8+, but it just enlarges the whole thing, it's not making biceps, pecs etc more muscled, just bigger but with the same average shape, looks really weird and just unrealistic. Male ''underwear''... I don't think I ever saw any men wear pants or long shorts as their underwear lol, coming from Conan this really was unpleasant (Pikachu face) surprise. Only few tattoo options after all this time is also disappointing. Eyes look a bit creepy for some reason. Overall for an RPG/MMO game, character creator is a huge letdown to me. Performance is not that terrible. I expected worse after all this chatter, but it does stutter a bit (it's UE5 so..) Weirdly changing settings doesn't change visual that much, even ultra looks mostly just fine. I don't like how my character moves when in melee combat, he looks like he's ''floating'' and constantly changes his position, I don't like when game does that. Graphics looks ok, maybe a bit dated in some places, I wish we had sharpness setting, especially useful for upscalling, had to disable upscalling for lack of sharpness control.. I also disabled FrameGen as I hate ghosting/smearing in motion that it causes. 2560x1440 all ultra settings locked 90 fps seems stable on 4090, so far at least, I heard some cities tanks fps and need lots of CPU power, hope 7800X3D will be enough for it not to drop below 60-80 fps. To be honest after (not so perfect but overall better) Conan Exiles and all those years you had time to learn the engine, I expected overall much better game. For now I can't recommend this game, if they improve it in the future (I'm being naive?) I will update this review.
Why do they list it single-player game in the feature list? My first experience was to be forced to select a server so no solo option then secondly out of the tutorial you get a nice view of boxes everywhere the eye can see. Other than that, the game looks great and the vibes were good. I struggle with the features list saying single-player and then buying a released game and have to wait till september. So just for that fact I can't recommend it. Nothing on the upper part of the store page indicates any of this well.
7. PVP.
Finally, single player is here!
the game is so cool and it has great mechanics and the story is fun to play but be careful from the worm and the sand storms while harvesting spice cause if you lose your gear it will take you a lot of time to make a new one
