About
Dune: Awakening is an epic Open World Survival Game where you get to fully immerse yourself in one of science fiction’s most iconic worlds.
You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.
Whether you prefer to play alone or with friends, Dune: Awakening gives you the opportunity to explore a vast, open world Arrakis brimming with secrets to discover, stories to investigate, gadgets to craft, vehicles to assemble, and bases to build. You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone in full single-player, multiplayer with friends on a self-hosted or rented private server, or with hundreds of other players on a public server. The full game, with all its features, content, and story, is available regardless of which mode you choose. Both single-player and private multiplayer offer extensive gameplay customization options, allowing you to scale difficulty and tune gameplay options however you like.

Great survival game set in an iconic cult-classic literary and cinematic series
Good
Cool Game with lots to do, natural and rewarding feeling of progression and the narrative and fictional experience of the dune franchise makes everything better. Right now, I can only complain about the combat, due to imbalence with needed buffs to melee and shields and nerfing of ranged combat, according to how it is in the Duneverse and lore. Also, combat and the experience overall should be adaptive to solo pve players. Other thhan that, great game

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Weird, weird, weird game, on many occasions. That's less of a thumb up but more of a headscratcher, as the game struggles with identity. Yes, Arrakis and universe in general was rendered incredible - from environment to visual design, and how inhospitable the planet is in every aspect. And wow does the world often looks fantastic, and is probably the strongest aspect of the game. Every region of the starting area is different, and that's very impressive given the limited planet variety, with deep desert looking very, very grand and cool in its own right. Lots of vistas, some of the PoIs are very cool, and the style in general is fantastic. But then the map is littered with player-built structures, which aren't very pleasant to look at, for the most part, and I want a singleplayer so badly. The story and quests are numerous, and are sometimes decent or even good but mostly by involvement of VAs, but mostly meh. Same as points of interest scattered across the map - many of those are cookie-cutter and samey. Combat is fine, but nothing more, mostly due to very little enemy variety. Gearing is ok, lots of unique interesting items to chase. Same with building - decent, allows for some cool structures, but requires time, effort, resources and/or paid DLCs. Vehicle system is interesting, but also offers not much in terms of real variety. And wow is the grind real closer to endgame. Like, a full resource run for a couple of structures or equipment items. That said, past year brought a lot of streamlining of the pain points to being just an inconvenience. Like, yes, when eaten by sandworm all gear is lost, but the vehicle can be retrieved with a modest sum of in-game currency. Or that drops of bottleneck items are generous. The game has a very solid foundation, offers some very cool ideas and design parts, but the result is often disjointed. It's decent for like... around 60 hours or so, at least, and if general loop captures one - even more.
Great game, can't wait for what's next.
Love it, great game play, super graphics. And can now host your own.
Schade...
My Dessert. My Arrakis... My Dune.
it's a fun game to play.
Overall would say fir sure if you enjoy playing this type of game. And even if you are new to this type honestly it is very fun as well. Some of the best graphics that I have ever seen on my 4k 240hz OLED came off this game. Only gripes would be that they could make some small tweaks to social settings and ergonomic stuff when playing and it could be an epic. They are continually updating very often and releasing huge DLCs with expanded zones along with console in sept so i think this game could still have a lot of gas in the tank.
