About
Dune: Awakening is an epic Open World Survival Game where you get to fully immerse yourself in one of science fiction’s most iconic worlds.
You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.
Whether you prefer to play alone or with friends, Dune: Awakening gives you the opportunity to explore a vast, open world Arrakis brimming with secrets to discover, stories to investigate, gadgets to craft, vehicles to assemble, and bases to build. You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone in full single-player, multiplayer with friends on a self-hosted or rented private server, or with hundreds of other players on a public server. The full game, with all its features, content, and story, is available regardless of which mode you choose. Both single-player and private multiplayer offer extensive gameplay customization options, allowing you to scale difficulty and tune gameplay options however you like.

I like everything about this game except the tax economy. It sux

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Some of the most fun I have ever had in a game was during the first few weeks after *Dune: Awakening* released — but the game has moved in the wrong direction since then. The early game is grindy, but fun to play through once. The real highlight was the original Deep Desert endgame: vehicle PvP, fighting over spice, shooting down cargo haulers, and stealing resources. That created real stakes and made the world feel alive. After the rocket pod speed reduction, vehicle PvP became far less enjoyable and mostly turned into bombing players on spice fields. Testing Station PvP was also great until the best blueprints were moved into PvE instances. Deep Desert base raiding during sandstorms was always bad and never felt like a good PvP system. Now the endgame feels like a PvE grind instead of meaningful PvP. Once PvP became fully optional, it lost most of its purpose. Instead of fighting over valuable resources, it often feels like trolling or griefing, such as thumpering ornithopters, because there is no real reason to win anymore. The economy was never good, and duplication glitches made it even worse. Early-game PvE materials become worthless the moment you reach endgame gear, which kills trading between playstyles. PvE players and PvP players should both have ways to make money and trade for items obtained through the other playstyle, but that loop never really worked. On top of that, the current augment system feels horribly imbalanced for PvP. The launch version was rough, but exciting. The current version is more polished, but much less interesting. For me, this went from a game with incredible endgame potential to something you play through once and then never touch again.
Its a a very fun game that is a unique blend of RPG, MMO, and Survival Crafting. It finds a very nice balance between the three and they nailed the Dune atmosphere here.
Juste 3 heures de jeu solo et il est déja génial !
I want to like this game so much, but the combat is just absolutely terrible and unresponsive. It's animation based, so once an enemy animation starts playing you're just stuck there taking hits with no way to defend yourself until you die. Even with shields, power ups, it's impossible to win against slightly higher tier fighters. The progression is also tedious. You will search for many hours and still only unlock a few things. The map is also very large, so you will seldom see another player.
thopter go brrrrrrr
They've fixed all of the previous problems I had with it. Now I can play PVE only and much more. Revisit the game if you haven't played it in a while.
