About
Dune: Awakening is an epic Open World Survival Game where you get to fully immerse yourself in one of science fiction’s most iconic worlds.
You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.
Whether you prefer to play alone or with friends, Dune: Awakening gives you the opportunity to explore a vast, open world Arrakis brimming with secrets to discover, stories to investigate, gadgets to craft, vehicles to assemble, and bases to build. You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone, with friends, or head into the wider world filled with hundreds of other players and engage in the politics of Arrakis. Host your own server, rent one from a third-party provider, or play on an official server. A full single-player mode will arrive on September 22nd, along with many other additions and improvements.

bought the game, played for a few hours, lost all my progress to a bug that froze me in front of the worm deleted the game, sees its had updates over the year ive not played, redownloads the game, plays for a few hours, dies to what i hope was not the exact same bug but it look like it was, dies and loses all progress again. this is an amazing concept for a games just executed in the worst way possible, save your money and buy something worth it.
Game for all Dune fans!
I bought this on sale after reading about the incoming changes to the architecture of how the games servers will work. I figured I could suffer through whatever it was that made me refund it the first time. Most of the changes they have made to the game make it nearly impossible to repeatedly fail at anything. I got eating by a sand worm early on, and learned from it. Still 0-1, at a hundred+ hours later. The PvP is nonexistent if you like.. Though I still haven't hit the end game yet, so take that bit with a grain of spice. It is documented that some people can get creative. Where there's a will there's a way, as they say. I'm still looking forward to the changes, especially the ones centered around being able to control some of the internal server settings. But, the game is already pretty much setup for the single player. The main thing I do not like so far in this game, are the spongey shields, and weak poison mechanics, and the abundance of some loot items, such as ammo. If I can do anything to effect these things, then I will be a happy camper, and camp I will! This game scratches a lot of itches. If they ever add anything like Conan's NPC system, then it will be a major time sink for many. Overall I am at well over 100 hours, and enjoying the game. As always, get it on sale if you can. But IMO it's worth the asking price. Even for the single player. Also, the forums for this game are the typical biased BS moderation found all over steam games.. Beware the double standard bearers!
The game seemed to be very good when it first started. However, for many and various reasons, player counts on the servers are extremely low most times. I have seen a few, more like 3 or 4 located in North America that have a server population near 300 but many more are consistantly under 100. Considering there or about 25+ "sieches" or smaller "sub-servers", you might see 20 players max per siech, with one siech having a player count of 33 at one time that I spotted. European servers have regional populations near 3500 where as North America has near 2000 during peak times. Worldwide, some servers have regional populations under 100.. yeah, that's right, 100. Gameplay is reasonable, however wit the populations so low, meeting and interactions with random people is not common, and that's NOT a selling point for a online MMO. Sadly, your money would most like be better spent on another game, something not so clouded in player discontent on Pve vs Pvp, I will say that if it were NOT for the Youtube creators and their channels, it would be super hard to complete many of the harder missions/quests as here is little to no guidance within the game either by NOC or players.
very bad game have a build in auto lock on targhet that you can not disable and most of the times you die because of that i play on pc not on a console and you dont have releset it yet on console give us the option to disabe the autolock on targhets
Geiles Spiel! Egal ob Alleine oder mit Anderen! Seit der PVE Umstellung überhaupt erst Interessant geworden nach dem man nicht mehr ab gecampt wird etc!
