About
Dune: Awakening is an epic Open World Survival Game where you get to fully immerse yourself in one of science fiction’s most iconic worlds.
You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.
Whether you prefer to play alone or with friends, Dune: Awakening gives you the opportunity to explore a vast, open world Arrakis brimming with secrets to discover, stories to investigate, gadgets to craft, vehicles to assemble, and bases to build. You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone, with friends, or head into the wider world filled with hundreds of other players and engage in the politics of Arrakis. Host your own server, rent one from a third-party provider, or play on an official server. A full single-player mode will arrive on September 22nd, along with many other additions and improvements.

After 400+ hours and getting all of the achievements I can honestly say in the games current state after a year's worth of quality of life improvements this game is S tier when it comes to the ultimate survival/crafting experience. I highly recommend this game to survival lovers out there. Alot has changed since release and all for the better. No more base tax. You can save your base for when you wish to take a long break from the game. Seperate PVE and PVP deep desert instances. No more PVP zones in PVE areas in Hagga Basin. A fully functional end game with a fun loop where you can go beyond the basic skill tree. Upgrade weapons and gear. New overworld dungeons. Added free main story missions. The list goes on. I won't lie to you, yes the game struggled to get it's bearings and I honestly thought it was all down hill at one point, but the developers have really gone above and beyond to get the ball rolling and give this game the TLC it needed. And with the console release it'll bring a brand new solo player mode to PC aswell, so if that's more your jam wait till September's update. Then to top it all off we are all getting a free expansion with a huge new area to explore along with a new story campaign, yes I fully understand we were supposed to get that with the season pass, but at least we are still getting it and it'll be completely free so happy days. This game is absolutely fun solo or with friends, and please don't worry going into this if you're a solo player and don't wish to play the upcoming solo mode but worry other players might interrupt your experience, since all the new changes it's much more accessible for solo play in normal mode, you can farm spice at your own pace in the PVE deep desert, no more forced PVP. But for those who do like PVP that experience is still available to you along with greater risk and reward. I give this game 10 Lisan Al Gaib's out of 10 Muad'Dib's.
Huge fan of Dune so I wanted to try the game out. Regardless of it's issues in the past, I am loving the game right now and it's been a super fun ride thus far. I'd highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the Crafting/Survival and MMORPG genres. I can't wait to see what comes next in terms of content!

The Game is really good if you like builders. Everyone, including me, all like the initial Haga Basin area before you head out into the deep desert. The PVP is not very good specifically because the servers aren't very good. I'd honestly play this game on single player if I could, but with stations, it can be a big slog making it such a pain to do. Worm Mechanics are fun, but kind of boring after a while because you can't damage them or ride them like in the novels/movie. Deep Desert PVP is by far the worst PVP a game has to offer. You will always find yourself getting ganked or rocket thoptered which is so boring and uneventful. The player base is a very toxic community too, so that's why i suggest playing single player over multiplayer, you also won't experience all the lag because the servers can't handle all the player bases. All in all, its a great sandbox builder game with good visuals and story in Haga Basin, and Terrible PVP with server lag on multiplayer.
I played it solo and it is pretty fun just relaxing and getting lost in the sand. I wish the story could have been better and told in a better way but I like the world and the progression.
Only been playing for a couple days so far, but honestly been having a lot of fun. I really like how the survival feels, I like the stakes. I will say I wish there was almost a little more to it? But I also just like making games really hard so that's more of a personal thing. The base building is fun, the story is interesting. The combat feels rewarding as you get better at it. All around, its my newest addiction in survival games.
I may have played a few hours.... ;) This game is good, it's fun both solo and with friends. I'll be blunt and say I flat out dislike the combat system because enemies don't follow the same rules you're forced to, which can be the only difference between winning a fight and losing it. The building system is very fun, and I'm very glad I'm no longer forced into PvP. The game has wierd lag sometimes, even with localised servers and that can get you especially in fights and with worms. Nevertheless of all the things, it's telling that my biggest gripe is the zoning time from the world map to the major cities and back. It's definitely worth the game price even not on sale.
Cool Game with lots to do, natural and rewarding feeling of progression and the narrative and fictional experience of the dune franchise makes everything better. Right now, I can only complain about the combat, due to imbalence with needed buffs to melee and shields and nerfing of ranged combat, according to how it is in the Duneverse and lore. Also, combat and the experience overall should be adaptive to solo pve players. Other thhan that, great game
More fun than what I was expecting. I love the survival mechanic with water. More dynamic combats with gun should b perfct Update: Stuck in infinite server loop after 2nd trial
