I love Monkey Island, and was quickly drawn to this game. But unfortunately, I didn't know of the short length beforehand. I purchased it, and was very disappointed, that I completed the game after 2.5 hours. It seems like the game is only about to start. I dont ever think I have bought a game, which has this high of a hourly price. 9.75 EUR for a 2.5 hour game! And I cannot refund it, because I used over the limit of 2 hours on the game. I liked the setting, but I feel robbed !(pun intended)
Great Game, it's Ben Tiller Disney work in a game with superb Art and voice-overs. Must play. Those games are not produced any longer, it's a gem from the past.
Tis be a good game! Shame it never got finished, it is! Not much, but what is there, satisfying, so says the Duke! I wish there was more, but I'm afraid some stories just aren't meant to be. Still, I am grateful I got to play it. Unlike many other adventure games with their batsh*it moon logic, I was actually able to figure everything out on me own, so i'll take it. I would rather have a simple game that's short than a one where I'll spend half the time consulting walkthrough, because no sane person could ever figure things on their own. It's well written, even though Duke sort of changes his personality a bit over the course of the game, which was explained by the devs actually starting him off as more of a caveman, which quickly got old, so he then becomes a bit... wiser and less retarded. And there is an almost bizarre attention to detail with lots of little things to explore and Duke's ability to comment on just about everything, even if 75% of it doesn't make any sense (there is a unique reaction to trying to bite/eat just about every object or a person). Great little appetizer without followup, which sadly seemed to happen to Bill Tiller a lot, as I still remember A Vampyre Story 2 never becoming a thing. Still, especially for the price, a must play for any adventure game enjoyer.
A short and cute story, the visuals and voice acting is pretty good
Simply a great point and click in the spirit of Monkey Island. At this price it's a steal. Only complaint me got is that after finishing the game the menu buttons stopped working so needed alt+f4 my way out.
It's not Monkey Island, but it's clerly a tribute game. I have honeslty liked it, but maybe it's too simple.
Duke Grabowsky, Mighty Swashbuckler Review

A short, cute and funny point and click adventure gem, reminiscence of old school Monkey Island style games
I bought this game cheap, can't even remember exactly when or whether it was directly from steam or a 3rd party store, doesn't really matter, I went in without too much expectations but a little bit of hope, and I wasn't disappointed. Duke Grabowsky, Mighty Swashbuckler is a fun, yet extremely short and not very difficult classic point & click adventure game, the controls are so simple it really reminds me of the original Monkey Island games or even Simon The Sorcerer, the game is fun to play, the voice acting is very well made and the game made me chuckle and even laught at a few occasions. The graphic style is nothing special, it's modern enough to look good and toy-ish enough to fit the story, which is from the get-go not a very serious one, the game doesn't take itself too seriously and that's a good thing, it comes off as a lightheaded, comically fun pirate adventure. I won't say too much about the story or the characters themself so not to give any spoilers, but I really enjoyed the game, even though I finished it in under 2 hours overall playtime, including all achievements. Overall, I definitely recommend this game for those who loves the classic point & click adventure, and want a good chuckle while they play, 7/10 from me.
a cheap and easy, quick adventure romp in the vein of Monkey Island. If you need to feed the point and click adventure side of yourself, its worth $10 to do so.
