Dry Erase is an infinite whiteboard in virtual reality. It's the perfect thinking environment, just you alone with your notes. And the best part is: you'll never run out of writing space.

This app is exactly what I was looking for, I tried using Tiltbrush for taking notes but this works alot better, very responsive, interface is great and it's the most productive I've felt in VR. It's alot of fun to fly over all your notes and thoughts. I can see myself easily spending alot of time in Dry Erase, wanted to evaluate this for 5 minutes and found myself spending an hour in it! I would love it if Dry Erase had some auto-save feature or mild reassurance the data won't be lost would be great., having all that infinite space and forgetting to save it gets me anxious. Some grey markers wouldn't hurt either :)
This is a good app that could be better. It looks the developer might be dead. this app could have been a must have VR app. It is sad.
L'idea era caruccia, ma il gioco risulta scomodo per i comandi e aprendo più pagine di un PDF...il gioco crasha. Quando sarà migliorato per il Valve Index lo riproverò ma per ora ho chiesto il rimborso.
I'm combining this with the new Rift Core 2.0 that gives me oculus desktop. This app is exactly what I've needed to be able to handwrite through solutions, and with the desktop becomes a powerful tool for doing academic work all virtually. There are still some minor glitches I'm experiencing, such as images that will fail to load, and a desired feature would be to rotate the whiteboard along the floor, as for some reasons it is orientated in a weird position and no reset view function works on it- hopefully something to be patched later.
Greetings, I came here today to say that this certainly has potential. from the infinite board, marker selection, and it's on contact to a surface drawing feature. But, there are a few gripes I had with it when trying to get it going. the first one is positioning. when i first went into the environment, I wasn't next to the board and the setting button at all. A small thing that is taken care of by moving yourself. simple as that. but I can't just move myself unfortunately. It might not seem much but not being able to move my virtual self in this environment was a downer to me. That's just my preference. I like being able to move my virtual character to point A to B. And the infinite whiteboard would of been ideal since I can take up a decent amount of space on a board. Then again, I don't know how that would work in this case. I don't know much when it comes to VR creation and recording information on the creation you made. So take my preference with a grain of salt. Movement would be nice, settings and setting up the board could be adjusted. for example a setting button on the controller and when you hit the grab button on both controllers and pull toward yourself so that you can adjust the boards distance to you immediately instead of grabbing the handle on the setting panel. That would be a convenient thing to do. Also, a toggle on the setting on which hand can be a drawing hand and which could not would be good too. It would open up a hand for either a movement or a hand dedicated to moving the bored. That's just me spit balling ideas. If this is something this fits your style then ignore me. It's just my preference. So in short and add-ons : - I see great potential but I have my own gripes. - a movement option would be nice if possible( example: teleport or movement that can be done on the controller.). -A dedicated setting button that appears infront of the person and not a stationary thing that is on the board. - if you could make a square box room with a the same infinite vertical but no infinite horizontal with movement added. That would be neat. having a big whiteboard room would be nice indeed. To me at least. This is what I feel would be nice to have. If that isn't the vision you wanted it to be, then leave it be and take my review with a grain of salt. Apologies for the late review. have a good rest of your day, and farewell. From, an random individual.
I wrote my name on a virtual board. It was fun. 10/10
Its a great concept, to the point I prefer VR whiteboard over the real thing now. However, there are some serious bugs that need to be worked out, that at some points make it unusable. Sometimes markers get stuck in the hand and cannot be removed. Sometimes markers dry up so even though you try to draw, and its in your hand, it won't. sometimes the undo loses track of where it is, and does really weird things, like wipe out half of what I did (without redo working) and bring back part of it. as if the undo/redo is isolated into chunks that do not play well together and lost track of order. (I think that one happens primarily when undoing/redoing while also mixing scaling/moving into the mix). The menus are very close and a little hard to work with. Selecting a pen from the color chart of pens. is really hard to do. I find my self almost having to fall out of my chair to grab a black white or red marker with me right hand. or a purple with my left. There are more bugs. BUT, despite all of that, I actually like it better than the real thing now.
very good design and has A LOT of potential, eveything worked perfectly for me, apart from opening a different pdf where I had to restart the program. If that was fixed and I could have multiple pdfs loaded then it would be absolutely perfect (Rift S)
Would have been a VR essential had the pdf and img import worked. I could see this being used as a teaching tool and a productivity tool. However it seems like the development has all but ceased for this game. It could have had great potential.
I love the idea and the basic functionality is really great. However, there's too many issues in its current state for it to be useful. Problems I had: - App kept crashing (0.3h in, 4 crashes) - I could insert a single image, then it glitched with any further attempts - Not really a problem per se, but with Valve Index controllers it would be much, much better to be able to grab the marker using finger tracking rather than holding it on top of your hand as it currently is If these are resolved, this app would be amazing. But right now it's getting in your way rather than helping you in your process.
