Drift Into Eternity is a futuristic survival game in which you play a crewmember of a distressed spaceship, drifting in the middle of nowhere, so far from any civilisation that there is no hope of rescue. You're alone. Desperatly alone. Observe, Study, Explore... and maybe you'll find a way to survive.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this game as the trailer doesn't really say much about the game. The UI could use some improvements, and a brief tutorial would probably help, but overall it's pretty fun. I hope the developers continue to make improvements. The core gameplay is essentially fixing problems on the ship, researching new abilities/technologies, crafting upgrades, and maintaining your hunger, thirst, morale, and health. The upgrades and technologies do things like make your thirst or hunger decrease more slowly, making the med bays more effective, and even give you an option to land your spacecraft before the whole thing explodes. You load resources into the storage unit attached to the console (of which there are an abundance within the storage rooms throughout the ship) and kick off the research cycle. The ship is broken up into 5 levels (T-2, T-1, T0, T1, and T2. This could be vastly simplified by levels 1-5 as the first three games I played I thought there were only 3 levels and got lost a ton), each level having one or several functional bays: comms, medical, lab, water recycling, etc. Every time a day passes, one of these might break, new breaches might be ripped in the ship, fires might break out, etc. You risk injury by putting out fires, fixing leaks, and breathing poisonous gas which you must manage through medical items or the medbay. Each of these injuries, if left untreated, worsen every day. The weakest part of this game for me has been the way they handle the ending of each day. It feels like you're on the clock every day (maybe this was a design choice), but it completely pulls you out of the game at the end of every day to (ostensibly) save and then generate a daily report. The problem is that daily report is unclear and is lost in what looks like a chat log -- there's no clear way to scroll through it and there's rarely enough information for it to be useful (it will tell you there's a fire onboard, for instance, but it won't tell you where). The only thing you end up seeing are these icons sliding down on the left side of the screen, which you can't hover over or click on because there's no intuitive way to free the cursor. Some of these may be design choices, but most of them just feel sloppy. Overall, it's got some interesting intricacies, but it lacks polish.
Agora o desafio do ambiente.
Nota final:
9/10
Disclaimer: This was given free to review. Pc Specs: CPU: i7 4790k Video Card: R9 390x Ram: 16gb Ram 1600mhz HDD: 3tb HDD PSU: 1000w Pros: Good graphics Simple controls Good PC optimization Unique gameplay Cons: Confusing gameplay No tutorial I have to start this review explaining why i wish Steam had another selection instead of just positive and negative. Cause some games it would not be fair to make just a Pos/Neg review. To start off the game is designed with alot of thought. Its core mechanics is complex and simple at the same time. The gameplay gives the real sense of being isolated and a great sense of disorietation. This game is far from being content lean. But even with a fair amount of content you also come across alot of repetitive play. The game is not for the faint of heart or the impatient sort it will definitely keep you busy. With that being said here is the Negative that i find in this game in my opinion. The game lacks any real tutorial from what i see so it leaves the player confused. Also I don't know how i survived 4 days I just walked around the ship like a chicken with his head cut off. Game objectives were confusing. And I personally would have liked a story or campaign but again this my opinion. In closing this game to me is a love/hate relation that is why i wish there was a more refined feedback system because I feel this can be great in some sense and have some bad traits in the same package. I give this a positive on the basis the Developers have shown that they have worked hard in the concept and did not just throw a game out there to cash grab. I believe this game has more potential to shine. Any negative feedback in this review is not to discourge but to give some detail to the buyer so they know what to expect when investing in this game & to the Developers to offer suggestions to make this game better and more enjoyable to play. très bonne base, beaucoup de potentiel, vivement la suite
If you enjoy the rewarding feeling (or punishment) of survival games with a steep learning curve then you will love this game! It comes with an AI that insults you in that wonderful neutral tone that's reminiscent of GLaDOS from Portals. Just like Don't Starve this is a game where you will die repeatedly over and over and start from the beginning each time while you try to figure out how the game mechanics work. Frustrating but then very satisfying. Someone please tell me where to find of make salad oil already!
Fun game, but definitely not for the faint of heart. The game doesn't hold your hand and it takes a little experimentation to understand how everything works. Nothing quite like your environmental controls going offline and on your way to fix them remember that you abandoned that deck of the ship to an out of control fire. Freeze to death or burn to death, ah choices.

Walking around is stutter city, no atmosphere to talk about, the AI that talks to you has a very grating voice. Took several minutes minutes to laugh the game then load into it, even on an ssd. Then I left the game and it crashed. 0/10
