About
Dreamspring is a dark fantasy styled, open world, dungeon crawler game. As a spellsword gunslinger, you'll explore ethereal landscapes shrouded in twilight, battle fearsome creatures, and uncover ancient secrets. Explore the dying Kingdom of Mortis and its different realms in first person action combat, in a world mixed with retro and vaporwave aesthetics.
The setting takes place in a distant doomed future, plagued by a mysterious legend, the Dreamsprings. Much inspiration was taken from games like Morrowind and King’s Field. From the very beginning of the game, you can go nearly anywhere on the world map. Though the main quest will provide guidance and open up certain areas.
There are multiple endings, and certain choices throughout the game will matter.
The Kingdom of Mortis, a realm in ruins, looms beneath a twilight sky. The once strong empire has become barren and desolate and the few remaining people are haunted by nightmares and despair. Only the Holy City floating above is the last remnant of civilization, ruled by a religious army. Tormented by dreams of an unwanted visitor, one solitary figure dares to venture into the heart of the dying world in an attempt to uncover its secrets and restore balance to the realm, a desperate attempt to save the waking world from certain doom.

If you like Kingsfield like games you will love this game. 3 times in 20 minutes i said outloud that the developer didnt need to go this hard on the dungeons but im so glad they did. There are secrets all over the place to find and many different tools to find them. spells that create platforms mean you can 9 times out of ten climb to insane heights, will there be treasure there maybe but theres is only one way to find out. The combat has highs and lows. Some enemies are very easy to kill at range and very painful as melee and balance is a little all over the place but i dont care because im a knight wizard who is bunny hopping around high fantasy tears in reality firing a uzi and a rocket launcher using a spell that gives me free ammo. If that sentence doesnt get you to try this game nothing will. Its just good old fashion fun and the dev doesnt care if people miss the secrets you actually have to search for them.
dont shoot the pink butterfly, its a powerfull monster that spit acid!

Moody, fun, very ambitious. In need of some refinement but I'm sure that'll come with time.
