WHAT?! The game referenced one of Enigma's SONGS!!! That's it. Hands down. This is the best game in the series. But that super surprise aside, the fourth game in the series was... Actually pretty good. It followed the events from the third game and even brought a character from the first!!! There were far more variety in the artwork/scenes. Loved it. Also Gavriel? Kudos to making a character look that good. :3 (Not that the ladies aren't finely drawn, just...) OH! And there was a curvy lady this time around too! Just pointing out new additions! Wolf guy too! Anywho. Story. OKAY! We actually got MORE details about the world building and characters! I am finally fully understanding more and more about the series/events/characters!!! YES. And the endings? One is hilarious and one has Gavriel/Enigma. How can you not enjoy it? Achievements aren't hard, however there are far more options. I didn't really mind it at all because -> CLARITY! Yes!!! Now I shall look forward to the next release. YAYAYAYAYAY!!! THANK YOU!!! :3 :) =) (<3 For Enigma... ^^)
Super fun little art game, the fourth in a series I think. Beautiful art with trippy dialogue and animation. Would highly recommend, a joy through and through. Lots of choices and no real punishment for choosing dead ends. You can quickly move back to alternate choices with the scroll wheel making backtracking a breeze. Chock full of unique lewds, I was shocked at the sheer number of drawn scenes. For 7 bucks It's a steal. After finishing the game I immediately went and bought the others in the series. A travesty this game doesn't have more attention.
Absolutely fantastic work of Art. I find the paintings amazing with nice animations and a nice sound effect. The story is not very long but if you enjoy high quality graphics, this is some of the best work I have seen as part of a Visual Novel.
Dreamscape of Delights is part of a series made by the same developer. This is the 4th game in the series and it clearly builds on the foundations established by the previous 3 games. Although it's possible this is the first game some players experience, I would recommend playing the others before this one, since you can either meet or find hints about most of the characters present in this game. It is also the most polished game thus far, taking advantage of things that worked in earlier games while bringing some brand new additions as well. In my personal opinion, the "Delights" series by Enygmage has three big hooks to pull you in. Its art style, at least in my experience, is unique, and I really appreciate the time and effort necessary to create every image we see in the game, of which there are quite a few. Next are the charming characters, both brave and playful so the art can showcase them in all their beauty. And third but certainly not least, the world of dreams and how it fits together into the big picture, I must say looking at humans as 'dreamers', outsiders lost in the world of dreams, is a refreshing take that holds a lot of novelty. The games are quite short overall, you can reach all the endings and get every achievement in slightly over an hour, depending on how fast you read and how much time you spend appreciating the artwork. Not that it's a bad thing, that makes these bite-sized adventures perfect for a short gaming session, and if you like one then the others will probably suit you too. The fact they provide lots of checkpoints to return to should you hit a dead end helps keep the game moving, so you never really get stuck; even when RNG makes a battle go poorly, you have a good chance to pass it next time with average or better luck. Compared to the other games, Dreamscape of Delights raises the stakes significantly. This time, Elylah isn't just going on an adventure because she feels like it, but along with Vulpes they must join forces with Phantasia and Druina to discover what threatens the world of dreams they inhabit, and then find some way to stop that threat. You get to meet several characters, some brand new and some that were foreshadowed in previous games, and you even see how Elylah deals with the Dreamweaver and his budding cult, proving why she deserves to hold the title 'Princess of Delights'... needless to say, that was a delightful experience. Beyond that, this is the first game that shows a map of the dream world, showing at least a part of it, where the Dungeon of Delights lies respective to Fortuna's Tavern, the Shrine of Delights and the Castle of Dreams, plus they get to sail the sea and use portals to travel to all new and dangerous realms. This game is more branching than linear, you do hit a few key points sooner or later, but the routes you can take to reach them are quite different and feature unique art, so it pays to explore and find every possible route. There are also multiple endings, including different ways to resolve the initial problem, and I appreciate how once again they 'show, don't tell' how much Elylah has changed, whether she has to go home and rely on others to solve the problem, or she has grown strong, smart and charming enough to press onward and invent her own solution... on that note, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that is the ending the next game will choose to continue from, because it seems like a very fun conclusion to follow up on.
In the endless sea of Steam porn slop i found this little gem. Simply amazing. Keep on creating, Enygmage.
