This game could have been way more then it is. For a HOG it has a lot of potential, but it doesn't deliver. - Story typical for a HOG - HO scenes are beautiful, but again typical for a HOG. - The match 3 minigames are a nice change, but repetative and simple. - The potion minigame is the big potential and the only thing that really needs some thinking. - Music is ok, not to annoying like some HOG's have. - Skip/hint button loads very quickly. Last part of the game is a real dwnside for me. Without spoiling it too much, it needs a lot of luck and is very badly balanced. All in all it is a mediocre little HOG (done in 2 hours) and i would get it when it is really cheap.
pretty. thats it. theres one puzzle towards the end which is impossible to win. i have tried and tried but no luck. so im giving up. the puzzle involves colors dropping which you are required to match up, however, the puzzle does so much by itself time is lost, and so you cannot win in the time allotted. frustrating and time wasting.
So boring. This game is ONLY hidden object puzzles. NO PLOT, no real scenery or progression of story except little video clips between puzzles. No voices, which in itself is not a bad thing, but in this game it just adds to the misery. Not my type of game.
I'm enjoying this game so far. Some of the lines the main character says are a bit contrived. The hidden object puzzles are somewhat challenging. The scenes are lovely.

It is moments such as this that a neutral button would be helpful. I cannot check NO because I have played far worst, but it still seems unjust to say I would recommend this game... Dream Catcher Chronicles: Manitou is a hidden object game that can be completed in less than 2 hours. The story follows a Native American woman who's husband mysteriously vanishes and she must enlist the help of the spirits to help find him. Pros: -Beautiful artwork -Story driven -relaxing music -variety in gameplay -cutscenes have nice artwork -cute ending Cons: -Price for what you get. -while it is story driven, it leaves the player with unanswered questions. -Not historically accurate. Very sterotypical and racist. Cue cliche names and *ahem* a scalp as an object to find and sacrifical rituals in backgrounds. -The "boss fights" are quite difficult. Boss fights & most of its minigames are color slide puzzles. However, the boss fights are essentially you versus an unrelenting computer. While this challenge may be fun for some who enjoy the "battle", others may not see it that way, as the computer always knows better and you are often left sitting out the entirety of the match watching it beat you. I would not recommend purchasing this game at full price, but if you are looking for something short to pass the time between classes, grab Dream Catcher Chronicles: Manitou while it's on sale.
This is a pretty bad Hidden Object. The story is boring and you seem to always search for ingredients. The potion minigame is horrible and the bejeweled type minigame is pretty broken, as the special stones that you need to break in order to get potion don't spawn often enough and the minigame just ends up taking way to long. The biggest problem, however, is the hidden objects themselves, or the lack there of, to be more precise. The don't have nearly enough objects and I found out that I can clear most of the list without even reading what objects I need to find, but just clicking around. Also, the colors seem weird, and a lot of times the objects (especially the small ones) will blend into the environment (and not in an intentional kind of way )
It's not bad to look at. And that's about all it has going for it. The story is boring, like it was just barely strung together for the sole purpose of needing a reason to look for stuff. The game is a little picky about where on an object you click. More than a few times I gave up on finding an object and used the hint system, only for it to point out something I had already clicked on twice before. The potion minigame is freaking terrible. This is what caused me to abandon the game, as the in-game "help" does nothing to clear anything up. "If the potion is this color, and I add an ingredient of that color, it'll turn another color after drawing some 'symbol of vitality' or some such." Cool, but which symbol is that? The W? The 3? Squiggle? Loop thing? No direction whatsoever. Oh, and it also has a match 3 minigame. That wasn't bad. Nothing spectacular, but nothing that stood out about it.
already got boring in the second chapter. i only recommend it for someone who is looking for HOG only, no walking around and looking for stuff to solve puzzels etc. it is simple, bold and boring tho it got amazing art. i give it 1/10 for the cool art style.
