Dead by Daylight + Among Us + Digital Happiness' local horror folklore specialty. That's how I can say about the game in general. Clearing objectives together, but keep track and suspicious of your team because one of them must be the traitor (or probably you are!). I enjoyed my time playing the game for several runs with my friends. For now, the game still needs improvement on the UX part that is related to the UI. But, this game has the potential and long journey ahead to surprise us with more features and good things to come.
The weakest game from this publisher. At first devs released it as multiplayer only - nobody played it. Then devs added 1-2 hour single player campaign so the game could be worth for at least something. Later they added supporter pack which gives max level of the battle pass knowing that's it is impossible to find any match. I am gonna forget this flop and wait for their next title which looks more promising - Graveless.
First, I'm not a fan of multiplayer games because I have no friends, and active lobbies are nearly non-existent. Second, because I have no friends, it's unplayable outside of the tutorial, as it lacks any bots and other things that make up the single-player mode of an MP-focused game. Third, the tutorial gives rough impressions. I'm sure the dialogues are voiced by AI TTS, judging by the flat intonation. Not to mention the subtitles being too small and unable to be adjusted, along with broken English on both dialogue and UI elements. Fourth, the controller barely works. I'm playing with a controller these days, so this is a minus for me. Only the movement works, which I can safely guess is a remnant from Unreal Engine 4's third-person template controls. Honestly, I don't want to judge it too harshly as it's still in early access, but this left me with a bad enough impression that I refunded it.
(It wasn't a good idea) I don't think anyone asked for this, I don't know if they did this because of how Dread Out 2 ended but this feels like they didn't understand their player base. The game is probably good but I can't try it as the game has no players, this was the same for the beta. The concept is cool I guess but this felt like it should of been a single player game with this PVP as a side mode or added this game as a game mode to Dread Out 2. (Thoughts on the franchise) The devs look like they seen that people wanted a single player as they are adding a single player campaign to this game which is good, they are also adding a season pass which is bad, it looks like a battle pass so that's probably what it is as again they might be following trends, I think they shouldn't do this as they are always FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and having content time gated just isn't fun and causes burn out, hopefully it's non of that and is like halo where it never goes away but still I'm tired of these things in games and they do nothing but burn people out as you play the game and do all the annoying ♥♥♥♥ it asked to get content so you don't miss it, but once it's done your so burnt out grinding for it you just don't want to play anymore and this game does not need that specially with the fact no one seems to play it. (What I want to see from the franchise) It's a shame as I love Dread out 1 and 2 and the DLC for 1 was interesting, what I would want from the devs with this franchise is something like Dread Out 2 again but this time complete and the somewhat open world stuff actually has content and stuff to find, I loved going to the streets at night looking for ghosts or the forest and finding that ghost on the bridge, there was fun secrets but most of it was cut or felt unfinished, plus the game looked like a downgrade from the advertisement they shown a few years back which looks like the game had a lot of problems and didn't get to add all it wanted to which is a shame. (Some Ideas for what they could of done instead) I think the devs made this game because like I said, the ending of Dread Out 2 but if that's so they should of either made a game where we play as Linda and she comes across others that are hunting ghosts now in this world that has merged with the dead and keep it single player liner (or make it open like they tried with 2 but make it complete instead of feeling unfinished like 2). The other thing they could of done is still kept it single player but instead of playing as Linda we play as either a custom character or pick a few like we do in this or just a new character they make us play, either way that way it could be we play as someone who is part of the ghost hunting team tasked with going through the world that has now been over run by the dead, we keep the organisation we work for in this game but now we have it where we could have it like Dread Out 2 where it's somewhat open, the main area being the base of operations where we can talk to others in the team and so on. then they can do what they did with 2 where we can go to new open areas and we end up visiting new locations like the school or forest and there are many secrets to uncover, once done we can return to the hub where the others are who give us tips and orders on ghosts we need to hunt, this way we feel like we are a hunting team and we can go back to places to hunt ghost in different ways like when Linda had to go to the school to deal with the ghost there, or at night had to deal with the ghosts in her apartment and on the streets. Just something that could of fit with their idea and the ending, plus it stays single player like people wanted, in the hub area they could of had a thing that takes you to the side mode being the PVP, that way the story and PVP mode fit as it feels the PVP is us going to take on ghosts as a team where the single player is us doing it alone. (Overall thoughts) Overall it's a shame, I don't know why this game was a PVP 1V4 or wasn't a game mode added to a single player game, I don't know if they are going to be making the right decisions with this game further on and somewhat wonder if it's best they just drop this game over all, maybe they can salvage it with the single player mode, but I think it could be better to just make new game that is single player first and any PVP multiplayer stuff is added on after. I don't know if they are done with dread out as a franchise as they seem to have some other games that seem like different IP's down the like which I hope is good. Just hope to see more of this franchise and see the world expanded, the world now being all weird and stuff can make for a more spooky game and I think Dread Out 2 has on to something, it was just a shame the game felt unfinished and left me thinking so so much of the content was scrapped and we got like 20% of the game.
Seeing as the playerbase is non-existent, I bought this game for the the solo & co-op mode. But I couldn't find anything that explained how it worked so... Not in the tutorial, not in the how to play segment... you get a little bit of info upon starting a lobby but it doesn't explain anything about the gameplay. So yeah, can't recommend it unfortunately.
nice game but no one online for game , match always 0 or not found
🔍 With all respect to the devs: you have some absolutely terrifying ghosts ideas, but you tried to jump aboard a train that was already falling apart. Given this approach, you really should have designed this as a PvE co-op experience from the start. The core concept is here, but nobody is playing it. DbD and its clones (asymmetrical) are popular, but they’re not good (simply because the entire genre is built around a single, fundamentally flawed title). Something like L4D2 ones (co-op) are popular, however, when designed properly, they never sink to the level of being bad (not even with the lame tryharders). For this one to truly work, it needs to be completely overhauled and expanded upon. So, if you don't have any friends, the game currently offers: a scavenger hunt for clues with hazards avoidance (pretty tedious to repeat); a fps with a bot squad, confined in a small circle, with waves of identical bots that spawn from the same spot (only a pistol, a very limited assault rifle, and dull grenades); or the solo campaign (~1h). It's just a small complex consisting of a dozen rooms locked behind various keys, where you spend most of the time trying to take down a couple of tough enemies. There’s no plot, nor is any explanation for why you went there. It feels incredibly unfinished, both conceptually and technically (to be fair, expecting more from a game that hasn't even been fully localized is probably a lost cause).

I do see some clear potential in DreadHaunt, and once you get the hang of the mechanics, it can be fun to play with friends. At the moment, it’s very reasonably priced, which is always a plus, and my prior positive experiences with Digital Happiness’ creative output is making me cautiously optimistic about the overall future of the game. But at the same time, the game is currently in a very early stage (and is advertised as such, so fair enough on that front) and is going to need a lot more content and variety to not only draw players in, but to keep them as well.
