About
█ Dread Neighbor is a first-person psychological horror experience inspired by modern Chinese horror.
Based on real-life elements, explore the hidden fears and anxieties of urban solitude through the perspective of multiple victims.
Start as a young woman working and living alone in the city. To cut costs, you move into an old apartment building that is cheap, but unnervingly quiet.

Narrow hallways, dim lights, damp corners that never dry - everything feels like it has been waiting for you. Since childhood, you've been able to see things others could not.
And here, you begin to notice countless eyes…lurking…watching you from within every room.
Combat the overwhelming feeling of paranoia as familiar spaces shift depending on where you look, and where you don't. What seems like an ordinary routine is subtilly and unnervingly invaded by an unseen presence.
Escape a cruel stalker in thrilling chase sequences while trying to uncover the truth.
Piece together clues to uncover three distinct narrative conclusions, including the true ending without succumbing to the fear.

As anomalies seep into your daily life,
As familiar surroundings become unfamiliar,
As the night feels deeper than darkness itself…
You realize the pressure doesn't fade when you look away, it has always been there.

Incredibly good game, I love these developers they're amazing at creating a creepy atmosphere. I highly recommend if you haven't to play dread flats that game was also just as good if no better than this one
Visuals were nice, around the same as Dread Flats, doesn't take away form story/experience. That being said, it is 99% a walking simulator. I understand taking the time to MC goes from point A to point B attempting to be a time to build tension, with the sounds in between and such, but it unfortunately falls short. Especially with how slow we are. As for all the MC's, they did not react or act realistic at all. I know there has to be some "horror stupidity," and this helps with exploration, but it did get quite frustrating at times. The story itself was also a bit confusing (is she moving out or not???), but i did quite like the different victims POV. Near the end, i i also enjoyed the pepper spray and bolt cutter interaction. I wish this sort of tension and interaction was in the entire game. There was very little tension or suspense, as the killer never truly felt like a real threat. FPS was pretty steady with some dips, and screen tearing was an issue regardless of vsync settings. All in all, Dread Flats was miles better, and i definitely think they took a step back with this game. I enjoy the concept, the visuals, and the bones of the game, but the execution was very lacking. That being said, for the low price tag, i am happy to support indie devs. Looking forward to Hariti!
