Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great first impressions. Beat the demo (just under 10 hours) and about 6 hours into the game. Keeps getting better and it started off strong so that's a nice accomplishment.
Per quanto mi riguarda, non sono soddisfatto dal gioco. Per me risulta decisamente noioso e ripetitivo.
I wanna start this off by saying this was my first ever dragon quest game and it was an amazing experience 👍 The music is fantastic, the artsyle is very beautiful, the environments are really charming, and I got really attached to the different characters, which made the end extremely sad for me The story is very interesting and I actually wanted to follow along by reading every piece of dialog which I dont usually do in other games😅 I love the classic turn based battle system since they didnt add any weird gimicks and the bosses were sometimes actually kinda difficult so I had to change my strategy Overall this has to be one of my favorite games ever and I can recommend it to anyone that wants a good jrpg

SUMMARY This game could have been excellent but it's only good because of its bad UI, the English localization and some parts of its story. GOOD There is a minimap. You can fast travel from anywhere. Monster design. The puns for the monsters' names. Story, especially Act 3. You can take the main character off the battle team. The forging minigame. NEUTRAL Characters (except the main protagonist who is not only silent but also totally apathic) BAD The English localization censored many things, especially regarding Sylvando. Awful menus. Like, access to the skills trees and "Return to main menu" are in the same sub-menu. You can't even close the game from the title menu; instead, you need to start playing and then quit from the in-game menu! That or Alt-F4. Lack of QoL options. Half-done cursor memory (like, it remembers that last spell you used but it doesn't remember that you used a spell on your previous turn). By default, each character targets their own foes instead of having all characters target the same foe. You can only buy up to 9 items at a time and you need to manually choose where they will be stored each time In typical DQ fashion, EVERYTHING you do is described with textboxes (plural!). I have eyes! I don't need a f-ing textbox to tell me that Erik dealt 21 damage to Slime B when I SEE Erik hitting Slime B for 21 damage! SHOW, DON'T TELL for anything sacred's sake! Inventory management is a chore because of that stupid menu system that only lets you move items one by one with dozens of textboxes to choose the character, then the item, then the destination, then to tell you what you just did. LOOK AT WHAT OTHER GAMES HAVE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS, DAMNIT! It's nice to give us a way to show the sparkling spots but why is it so tedious and, more important, why don't they STAY shown on the map? Many equipments give ridiculously low buffs (like +1% critical chance or 10% Poison resist). Arbalest, sword and interact are on the same button so, way too often, when I try to attack a nearby enemy or pick an item on the field, my character instead shoots and aggroes a faraway enemy. The aftermath of the "Big Event" at the end of Act 1 is highly disappointing, especially when compared to other games that have similar events. The bestiary is only useful for farming purposes: there are no informations on the monsters' stats or weaknesses. The flying vehicle moves forward automatically (you can't prevent it from moving). Also, you can only land on specific spots and, when you board it again, you always start from the same point instead of starting from where you were. Come on! Secret of Mana did better than that and it was 33 years ago!
