[h1]9/10 - (almost) all a Dragon Ball fan could ask for![/h1]
[b]This game, finally coming toward the end of service after almost 10 years, with Dragon ball Xenoverse 3 on the way is currently one of the best dragon ball games to play.[/b]
It stands the test of time with great gameplay, super fun customisation options, great post-game content. [hr][/hr]
[h2]The DLC Issue[/h2]
Where this game suffers, is in it's pure need for all the DLC to get the full experience. While the base game is great, you do miss a lot of the new story and characters if you choose not to pay extra. If you have the money, or can grab it bundled on sale I 100% recommend it. Otherwise, maybe hold off a little longer.
[h2]Single player or multiplayer?[/h2]
I believe if you are a fan of both singleplayer and multiplayer, this game has something for you either way. While the PvP has its issues, the PvE is really where this game gets to shine. The optional quests are great fun in single player, but they really become elevated when you have a couple of friends to join in on the harder missions.
[h2]Overall gameplay[/h2]
The combat in this game feels great! The movement is fluid, or easy to pick up while having a high skill ceiling at the same time. It is great being able to level up a character, and be able to pull off strong supers and ultimate moves against difficult enemies or in PvP.
This game has a simple gameplay loop.[b] Do a mission, get stronger, customise, repeat.[/b] In the base game, this loop is somewhat flexible, allowing you to do what you want to an extent to beat the main story, no grind necessary. However, in post game content and DLC, the grind does become quite intense. The item drops from missions are completely RNG so there is no telling how many times you might have to repeat a quest. This, however, is part of the game as it is very rewarding when you finally do get a new outfit / attack that is harder to obtain.

Of course. If you're a fan of fighting games, anime, dragon ball, or even just character customisation I believe there is a lot of fun to be had here. An easy pick up if you're looking for a new game.
