The game itself is very well made and feels very smooth. If you love challenges, this is for you, the game doesn't take to long to learn. IMO, it's pretty hard to just try to stay alive, but no struggle is no fun, so just look at this game with a positive mindset. You can tell that the developers put extra effort into making this come to life. Compared to the demo version, this is a lot smoother with no bugs so far. its lowkey fun.
If you are into good arcade games, Dracs After Dusk is one you should check out. The game is easy to pick up, but hard to master. I love the fact that you can go straight to the bosses in order to get powerups in future waves. It's also really funny to hear the "Double Kill" or "Triple Kill" voice. Reminded me alot of early Halo. This is best played on mouse and keyboard for precision, but controller is fine too. Great price for this as well.
Really enjoying my time with this game. Feels like a nice blend between CoD zombies and cuphead with challenging and rewarding boss fights. It's straightforward to pick up from the jump and the difficulty scales well as the waves increase. Once you get access to the weapon upgrades from the armory boss you can really start mowing the waves down and go for strategic combos/multipliers for the leaderboard. Visuals are really pleasing and the gameplay just runs super smooth. Great game to pick up especially for such an affordable price, definitely worth checking out!
I've been following the development of Dracs since the demo and was excited to give the full release a spin. I've been loving the new boss fights and the gameplay has a nice cohesive loop to it. The art is visually pleasing, and as a big time Halloween fan, the devs nailed the spooky vampiric/western atmospheric feel. The bosses took me a few tries to figure out, but the game does a good job rewarding you as you learn their patterns. Each boss offers a different carousel of upgrades that helps you strategize for the vampire waves and making a run at the leaderboard. My favorite upgrade has to be the burrito bomb from the diner boss, the sfx alone makes it worth purchasing lol For such a low price this is an easy recommendation for anyone who enjoys arcade style action games.
I really enjoy playing this game. I'm a bit of a videogame newbie (68 years old) and the retro, arcade style of this game reminds me of my misspent youth. Personally, I don't have enough skill to successfully engage the bosses, but I'm still able to have lots of fun and achieve some high scores. As of this writing, I am currently #2 on the leaderboard. Here are a couple of tips for all you new players: 1. After you successfully survive the first Wave, go through the door that that leads to the hallway. Make a left turn and hang out in that upper left hand corner. It's a great spot to defend against the hordes of blood sucking vampires. 2. Keep practicing until you successfully complete Wave #5. If you do, you will be rewarded with the use of a submachine gun. The sound of the baby mowing down those nasty vampires is well worth the price of admission. Have fun!
I like the boss fights and chasing a high score. Sound and music is pretty good.
At first I was a bit confused by the Frankensteined gameplay of boss battles meet wave survival but it actually started to flow for me when I got the hang of the core skills. The Armory Boss in particular was very challenging but once I proved victorious, I was able to defeat it consistently. There are some rough edges and a few quality of life improvements that could be added such as the ability to see your Badge Loadout during a run. But overall it is a fun experience if you like a good challenge on top of your wave survival games. Shout out to the music, sound FX and art which all reflect a care to their craftmanship.
Interesting approach for an arcade game, it actually feels like a retro arcade game and I didn't know I was into the western style until now :) The game seems very polished, from the UI, SFX to gameplay. I love how you can get progressively better at the game by unlocking the so called sheriff badges that simplify your experience with the game being quite difficult at the beginning, but that's the fun! It is very well balanced and you can actually feel rewarded by the game by learning certain patterns and the game pushes you to complete waves to unlock more weapons and boons. Now lets talk boss fights...I thought that I would finish the game quickly: obliterate some bloodsuckers and defeat the bosses one after another, but nooo; the armory boss will keep you engaged in the game! I love the aesthetics, there are so many hidden details in the design BUT my favorite aspect about the feels is the music, it just fits the theme so darn tooting well! Great job to the devs for delivering this awesome indie game! Whoever reads this, I challenge you to beat my high score in the leaderboard, look for me at the top!
This is a fantastic little indie game with a lot more to offer than I expected. It has nonstop action, interesting power-ups, challenging (and occasionally frustrating) boss fights, and plenty of ways to customize your character. I found the gameplay loop to be incredibly addictive as I kept starting "just one more run" every time I died. The art direction and music are also top notch. The art has a nostalgic NES-era feel (reminds me of my childhood), and the atmospheric music really enhances the overall experience. Well worth price!
Dracs After Dusk is quite a challenging game but also very rewarding. It has the same feel as your typical vampires survivors but with some unique twists I've never seen before. You might need to invest a bit of time to get into the flow. There's new weapons, badges (passive trait upgrades), food, and more to help you progress through the stages. The bosses are honestly very well designed to keep gameplay new and refreshing. Though they're now easy by any means. It'll take some getting used to but it gets quite fun when you figure things out. Overall I think it's a well made game with a interesting gameplay. Also with pretty sweet bg music! (the music and sfx is amazing fr)
