Beautiful soundtrack. Satisfying, meditative gameplay. Gorgeous graphics. My favorite part is when I'm a hexagon. :)
Loved this musical adventure! Sonically lushhhh, minimalistically vibrant design, with a mysterious friendship built block by block. I might even meet my daydreaming friend one day in some distant place. Maybe...
I love this game. Incredible music and great gameplay. 10/10.
One of those games where you wish steam would let you give a mixed review. Music is good, I really liked 2 of the tracks. As an album listen this game gets a recommend. As a game however, it was kind of painful: - First off movement, there's some really weird deceleration every time you turn, makes it very frustrating to even just move around (this is mitigated by a controller as you only get the obvious deceleration when doing 90 degree turns. - Second, level design: There's literally nothing you do in this game except wait for blocks to move in time to the beat. To either move out of the way or to move to you. I'm not saying an album game like this needs difficulty, but it makes listening to the song more frustrating, which is a bad consequence. "Oh no i missed the block cycle, now i need to keep listening to this looped part of the song until i catch the next one". It literally makes you dislike the song, which I don't think is the point of an album game. The beat should move you forward, not hold you back in my opinion. Another huge frustrating part is the moving blocks, some of them kill you on touch, and some of them you're supposed to get on to. They have no path lines, so most of the time the first time you see a block it starts moving towards you and you die. Its super cheap. If they had path lines you could prepare and move out of the way. Yes you don't lose much progress at all on death but it's still a horrible experience. In summary, I never once felt happy playing this game, I only felt dread missing a cycle and not getting forward faster, and irritation when random blocks ran into me and killed me without any way of knowing it would happen. Which sucks, because the music is great and I loved listening to it, but the game ruined the experience.
A lovely and simple platformer set to an absolutely stunning soundtrack. Been listening to the album since finishing the game.
Good music if you like the genre. Interesting idea. Very short start to finish (~1hr).
A charming game from the Pardo Bros, with lovely eclectic music and a charming puzzle-driven story. A fun diversion and a great way to experience an album!
