I play doom games for the lore so this one gets a thumbs up from me. I enjoyed listening to worker logs yapping about insubordination and junk while getting jumpscared 5,000 times by imps that like to hide behind doors and leap at you like freddy fazbear. The environment is both monotonous but also it does feel well put together, definitely feels like you're alone in an ugly military base on Mars. There's lots of little environmental details that can be missed if you aren't lollygagging around like I was, and I appreciate things like that. The gameplay itself does get kind of old. Over time you start to love the imps because your new arch enemy is the stupid flying baby things and those former marines with the machine guns, ugh so annoying. And also the boss battles suck. And any sort of horde sucks. This game does best when it's like 2 enemies in the room max. But anyways yeah it's worth the money or whatever
I had thought I bought Doom 3, but as soon as the game loads up there I am in a episode of Total Recall and as soon as I got out side the air lock I ran out of air and died when they guy told me I had plenty of air inside my suit. Is this really Doom 3 or Total Recall..
I remember playing this in 2004 or 2005. With the help of mods like BFA and some very nice textures for my 2k monitor, it really feels like the old one!
good fun game, maybe shouldnt be called doom 3 though. thats the only thing that hurts it is it being a mainline doom

Fun enough I guess, even if different from other Doom games. It's more like an FPS Dead Space, though nowhere near as good of course. Kind of longer than it should be, with the endless corridors, and that's even before the two expansions. So, be prepared for that.
DOOM 3? When HALF LIFE 3???
Смерть кибердемону!
Immer no guad, wenn noch heitige Standards aa a bissl eintönig, aber wenn ma moi spuit, mog ma aa so schnei ned aufhern.
