Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Remember when 3d TV's/ monitors were a thing?
8/10 (PC) – Cheated a bit here as this is a game that have beaten, albeit 20 years ago when it was first released. I wanted to go back and see how it held up because this is only older Doom title that I’ve only played through once. I remember liking it back in 2004, but I did not ever revisit the main story after I finished it. Much like Doom 2016 inspired me to upgrade and build a new desktop PC 8 years ago, Doom 3 motivated me to get my first job and build my first custom computer 20 years ago. So I would say this title has some special significance, even if I don’t hold it as fondly as I do other titles in his series. “Doom 3”, all-around, is a pretty big departure for the franchise and is a really unique entry even to this day. While every other title prioritizes action of any horror elements, “Doom 3” flips that around and focuses more on horror over action. While it does contain lots of action, there was a clear effort by the developers to create a scarier atmosphere than ever before. For the most part it works, and I really found myself engaged with the experience and played it at a noticeably slower pace, which I sure is what was intended. I really liked the different takes on the familiar franchise enemies. While in every other title, they are all very similar designs, “Doom 3” really gave some creative liberties to the designers to change how they are portrayed in earlier titles. I think the new designs do a good job at matching the scarier atmosphere, although I still prefer the classic models (and I’m surely not the only one as the enemy designs reverted to the classic styles in later games). Speaking of enemies, I will say that there are way too many “Imps” in this game. It felt like you couldn’t go 2 minutes without fighting one in every single level. The graphics and environmental sound design really hold up well, given the age of the game. It certainly looks like a 2004, but its aged well enough to not hamper the atmosphere. The sound effects and great and really help drive home the scarier tone. I will definitely say that the weapon sounds are pretty darn weak and very noticeably so right from the start. For a series that revolutionized the shooter genre, it’s inexcusable that the weapons like any kind of power behind them. They just sound so weak. Also, the almost complete lack of music was also an odd choice. This is a series that prides itself on immersive and memorable music, to have nothing here just feels wrong. I do get that the music styles from the earlier games may not fit with the atmosphere, but there could have been music created to cater more to this style. Lastly, a complaint that I have is more because it was a product of its time. Back in 2004, it seems like every shooter had to have text or audio logs that the player picks up throughout the game that helps develop the story and give the players a deeper insight into the plot, characters, etc. The problem is it totally throws up the pacing of the game. I do not want to have to sit and read or listen to an audio log every 10 minutes to learn about the story. It could have been told better and more creative ways, and fortunately this was a trend that eventually mostly died out in game design. Overall, I’m glad that I went back and finally replayed this title after all these years. Being one of my favorite franchises, it also seemed like “Doom 3” was bit overrated and underappreciated. While I believe the style departure is to blame for that, you really must commend the developers for what they did for the time. While its obvious that this style wasn’t the right path for the franchise to continue going toward, it still serves as a nice little detour that’s certainly worth exploring to see “Doom” in a different style.
