About
You awaken from a cold sleep and suddenly find yourself in the year 2206. What you once knew as the International Space Station is now the International Space Port - a gateway for aliens coming to Earth. Crushed by a massive, unexplained debt, you’re forced into a job you never asked for: Chief Extraterrestrial Counselor.
Seems simple enough, figure out your allies and uncover hostile threats. However, make the wrong call and Earth could be destroyed. No pressure though, right?
Problems left unresolved in the 21st century have spiraled out of humanity's control. Earth now seeks help from technologically advanced aliens to solve our crises. On the very day you awaken, diplomatic relations with other planets officially begin.
Aliens enter under many pretenses: tourism, studies, and more. But their claims are not always what they seem. As an Chief Extraterrestrial Counselor, you must see through any deception and uncover their true intentions.
Your work begins by checking the news. Then, you must interview the aliens and decide whether to grant or deny them entry. Fulfill your duties, repay your debt, and aim to one day set foot on Earth again yourself.
Whether Earth still exists by then... depends entirely on you.

Really fun! Good mix of seriousness and humour. Way too easy to cheat though; You effectively have infinite time to ask questions because quitting and reloading during an interview resets the timer. It's not a game that will really test your brain, but the fun of this game primarily comes from it's amazing art, cool/funny/cute alien designs, and interesting dialogue, plus the mystery that is slowly uncovered through playing and getting different endings. Definitely recommend!

An amazing social deduction game
A bit of a mix between Papers, Please and a funky little toy from the late 2000s, Cube World: you watch two characters interact while trying to understand their reasons for traveling to Earth. It is first and foremost a visual novel, with a small amount of puzzle-solving mixed in. It is by no means a long game, though do keep in mind that I am a relatively fast reader, so your experience may differ. The solutions to a case or two were also rather specific and a little obtuse, which some players might find frustrating. The ultimate goal of the game is peaceful coexistence and helping Earth overcome several crises, usually caused by human carelessness. Do note that the extraterrestrial cultures are only lightly touched on. Do not expect much in-depth lore beyond some surface-level behavior that is mostly relevant to the plot. Overall, I would mainly recommend this to people who already enjoy visual novels.
Good game, but not currently compatible with Steam Deck. The game can't match the screen size, so that you only end up seeing 1/3 of what you are supposed to see.
I'm giving it a positive rating upfront, as I enjoyed the demo, and I see improvements in the full version. While the visual style can be nitpicked, I don't think it's a complete hack job, and the game does have its own charm.
Donutal is a game like lighter version of Papers, Please. Instead of checking documents, you interview aliens to understand their true intentions and determine whether they are just normal visitors, beings that could help solve Earth's problems, or threats to humanity and the planet. It's more of a visual novel (VN) than a traditional game, with simple and uncomplicated mechanics. It's quite bug-free and well-optimized, except for one fatal error I encountered during my playthrough that caused the game to crash. The soundtrack is also very nice, especially during the emergency sequences. One negative thing I can mention is that I wish the stories were much deeper and more meaningful rather than simply being a matter of talking to someone and moving on. There are a few stories that expand over a couple of days, but that's about it. I also think it would be nice if the game forced the player to make moral vs. logical decisions, with meaningful consequences based on those choices. Lastly, I hope Arc can add a romance and marriage system to the game. AVA, Rico, Lillil and Maru deserve better! Let my waifus be happy!
I do enjoys to talk each different kind of aliens and learn their traits, writing are both funny and serious- you can call this "Papers, please but actually, please talk me and each other!" Each day, you will get different aliens to interview and choose least two aliens to talk and see reactions! You will able learn which aliens you should trust and which aliens you need be extra careful! Like alien race who "know everything" and can help you cut down suspects and other only more open if you choose right alien race to group up! Also It's only $10 which extra point for me!
