It's the zombie apocalypse and Cassie, a sarcastic 18 year old armed with only her wits and a kitchen knife, must get to her uncle’s farm. Keep Cassie alive in this turn-based strategy game as she battles the undead across thirty levels trying to survive and not get bit.

This game has a good story. It's a fun game with three different endings, so it's worth playing all these times and thinking about different strategies to get to the end. Really good drawings and dynamics. Congratulations to the creators! I would recommend translating the game to other languages since the story makes a huge difference. Also, translating to other languages might bring more revenue. Hell, I would like very much to participate in the translation process to Brazilian Portuguese.
Very fun game! Don't Get Bit is an interesting mix of turn-based strategy and survival with a strong story behind the game. The variety/progression in playable characters, enemies, and map layout makes every level a new challenge that is fun to explore. The mechanics of the game are easy to pick up and this is all around a very high-quality game!
A great little indie game about navigating your way through the zombie apocalypse. Don't Get Bit combines well-written dialogue, excellent voice-acting, and turn-based puzzles into a short but replayable package. It takes about three hours to complete a play through of the game, and further runs mix things up with surprisingly brutal turn limits and restrictions on how much damage you can take. The game is difficult at times but it provides a lot of freedom to learn from your mistakes and try new tactics. There's also a very satisfying sense of progression as the cast of characters grows and you unlock more flexible options for handling threats. The early game focuses around managing which zombies are aware of you while the late game shifts more towards finding the most efficient ways to use your characters to deal with different types of zombies. There are a few bugs and visibility issues related to the UI but nothing game-breaking. The only bad thing I have to say about the game is that I wished there was more of it.
First experience with a turn-based strategy game - so much fun! Just the right amount of challenge to keep me coming back for more. Felt like I was cruising along with ease until Level 23 - things have slowed down, but I'm muscling through - I'll help Cassie & Co. beat those zombies yet! Love the narration and story - can't wait to see how it ends! Drawings are fantastic, to boot!
"A puzzle-strategy game with an engaging story, they say? We'll see about that!" *over two and a half hours straight and all thirty scenarios later* "I saw about that! Very, very good!" lol
This is the first time I have ever played a turn-based strategy game, and I love it!! This has been a great intro into these types of games. I'm in the middle of my second play-through of "Don't Get Bit" and it's just as entertaining as the first play. The story is very compelling and brilliant! I love the voice actress. I love everything about the look of this game too. It's so unique and cool! "Don't Get Bit" is challenging and always keeps me on my toes; I have ended up playing it for hours with no knowledge of time passing. I have screamed in frustration when my strategy has ended with me turning into a blood smear on the board, but it just makes me more determined to beat it and show the game who's boss. I have recommended this game to many of my friends. This is a GREAT independent game!
This was a fun tactics game with a Zombie Survival story. It was people vs zombies, there is some human vs human conflict alluded to by the narrator but none takes place during the game. There are special zombies in addition to slow, regular, and fast zombies which add a slowly ramping complexity to each new mission. Once you finish the story, you should press "continue" if you want alternate endings for beating the game again with added difficulty: the second time around you have a turn limit, and the third time around if you get hit once, you die. Definitely enjoyed my time with this game.
I really enjoyed this game, and I liked the way that playing through the three journeys forced me to change my approach. Although I don't disagree with the turn-based strategy label, I found it leaned more toward the puzzle side than the kind of games that usually jump to mind for me in the genre (e.g. civ or xcom - it's not like those).
Puzzles are challenging but fair. There were a couple of levels that had me stumped, but not because they were impossible, just because I'm too impulsive to strategize lol. To win this game, you need to slow down, pay attention to everything, and learn from mistakes. When I finally completed a difficult level, it felt satisfying. Immersive eerie music and sound design, professional voice over, unique and disturbing zombie variants, and there's even replay value. Glad I played this!
This game is a perfect blend of the zombie genre with traditional strategy based games. It reminds me of chess (and a bit of Pokemon as well) in the best way possible in its turn-based combat. Beyond the controls and layout of the game, the story, art style, and acting bring you into an engaging world of friends and foes. If you like zombies, or strategy, or both, I would highly recommend this game!
