The dev revoked the product keys of all customers who purchased the game at retail outside of Steam. I had activated my key in November last year (2018), almost half a year ago- yet the game was simply removed from my library. It's a shame that such a thing is possible. I won't get the money back either. Addendum: The game was removed from the Steam Store and can no longer be purchased.
On 4 April 2019, the "developer" of this game illegally revoked thousands of keys he sold for it on other sites, harming all Steam users who paid for those keys or received them as gifts. Valve needs to make it harder for developers to simply revoke keys at will like this. In most jurisdictions, according to consumer defense laws, Valve would also be considered legally responsible in these cases, since it is their Steam platform that allows the generation of those keys and their revocation. UNTIL PEOPLE START MASS REPORTING THESE CASES FOR FRAUD OR LEGAL VIOLATION, VALVE WON'T DO ANYTHING. SO PLEASE GO TO THE GAME'S STORE PAGE, CLICK ON THE FLAG ICON AND REPORT IT. Also, report the developer's profile for scam and blacklist all his games by clicking the IGNORE button on their store pages so he won't see a cent from any of us again. I had to buy this abomination of a game AGAIN to be able to write this review. The "developer" banned me and everyone else who posted on the game's discussion threads urging people to report the case to Valve. Finally, under no circumstances send emails to this "developer" asking for new keys. Not only is the "game" not worth it, but also an individual who scams their player base like this cannot be trusted with any of your personal info.

I even got an antivirus warning while opening this one for the first time.. xD Dojini looks like, even from the store page, a very very old concept made with Unreal engine. It looks like an indie 2D platformer with retro graphics and yeah, something I have already played tons of times on Kongregate and wherever else.. the thing in which you control two characters at the same time and have to solve each elvel, basically. This game features two dinosaurs, or better - the same dinosaur which got a curse by.. I don't know, back in the '90s we didn't really think about plots when it came to play Donkey Kong Country or the NES platformers and so on.. The plot of this game tells about a wizard and a dinosaur that eats an apple of his, and then get cursed and his body split in two parts - soul and physical body - i.e.: the two dinosaurs you control. Although the game contains 30 levels, it has some big flaws starting from this concept - it's something we have already played tons of times. In fact, even if the story can have some interesting aspects (although unfortunately in the game it's explained in 5 seconds of dialogue), the game plays as every other platformer with two characters. What does this mean? Basically, you'll have to FIGURE OUT BY YOURSELF (caps lock needed, I'm really getting tired of games with NO help or tutorial AT ALL!!) the controls and, having somehow understood that WASD keys are what you need (although spacebar and other keys work as well, but they aren't remappable and you can't see them in any section/option screen), you'll start to move through the first 2D level. The music and the graphics are very outdated, more than just retro. Apart from this, you'll just move the two dinosaurs, one red and one yellow, with the same controls. The hitboxes and the mechanics are extremely crappy. The enemies will be super fast compared to you, and you'll be forced to control the movements of the "back" dinosaur meaning that every level will be so long and boring as hell. And although the restart is immediate, there are no checkpoints meaning that you'll have to play the levels from scratch dozens of times - trust me, you'll get hit even if you're some centimeters away from the enemies.. And the very first level will be already too much frustrating and annoying to get through ALL the 30 of them, really. Plus, there are no easy modes or anything - just the levels one by one as they were programmed. Anyways, your goal will be for each level to get the dinos to their respective portals and progress onwards. Giving no weapons and not even a jump-kill like Mario to the characters has really no sense. The very first levels will already be extremely frustrating and hard due to the difficulty to control the two dinosaurs with crappy and unresponsive keyboard keys - probably a joypad would be something better to play with, but I'm playing with my laptop only these weeks and really I should not be forced to play a 2D indie platformer with a controller - and apart from this, maybe even with a joypad everything would still be unplayable.. I'm definitely not so confident about a great joypad/console-like experience.. This game is a bad attempt to make a 2D retro-style platformers. The controls, hitboxes and everything else are totally crappy and it's really impossible to play with them, given the fact that you can't kill the enemies in any way. I'd really not recommend this game to anyone, it's too frustrating and there's no way at all to get some help, change the controls, at least jump and kill the enemies.. you'll have to jump your way mashing A and D and trying not to touch the monsters in order to get to the portals, nothing else. And it will take you dozens of playthroughs for each level.. definitely not worth the 2€/$+ price.
