I dislike this game immensely. The AP combat system is trash. You cannot grind your way around the problems or level up to make the current problem anything less than a total luck of the draw outcome. The quests are traps, where you will repeatedly be killed by RNG and large numbers of tanky enemies. I love Baldur's Gate, but this? NO, definitely not.
игра говна
dang just arrived at reaper's coast but the story lowkey on par with baldur's gate 3 tho. But idk, i havent played it really seriously and got no time to take a look deeper on its story (especially the companion arc) etc cause im playing party with 4 of my friends. But ofc i'll replay the game and will review it again. it's ofc in my top 10 or even top 5 games so far. Sit 2nd in terms of fun below baldur's gate 3 but the story? i guess pathfinder wotr still outclassed it with its writing, lore, and everything. But DOS2 still has a incredible story and is more fun by a lot ngl. 10/10
终于通关了 拉瑞安你在游戏里加了什么玩得我好累,,挺好玩的 但是很难说我会不会玩第二次…
larian is the goat
Woke up as a prisoner in a ship and a skull talked to me. The sheep in the next room referred to me as meat. Then I turned a sleeping guard into a chicken.
Every enemy has a ranged attack even if it doesn't make sense for them. Example "Doggy Dart" WTF? This makes melee units all but useless. It becomes a back and forth poo flinging battle. Not to mention most enemies have a teleport ability. I had a giant croc teleport behind me. This is really dumb and makes battles annoying. Refunding.
I haven't, and may not finish the game. However this was some of the best money I've ever spend on a game. For how huge the game is it's impressive how well it runs, I only encountered two bugs in 100 hours of gameplay and both were relatively minor. As i became a bit more knowledgeable on the games systems I will admit the combat lost some of it's intrigue and occasionally became a slog. Yet still I loved the vast majority of my time with it. I will likely be back to play more and perhaps even finish the game.
It may take a while for newcomers to get used to the scale of games like Larian's Divinity or Baldur's Gate series, but once it clicks, it sticks. Give yourself the time to get used to the systems, and explore what these games have to offer in terms of flexibility and freedom of choice. There's no right way to play, and no wrong way to have fun. It's a big world, and Larian doesn't hold your hand. Characters can live fulfilling lives and become heroes, or die in the dirt like filthy peasants. That's for you to decide. There's a rich story, with astounding attention to detail, and at times it can feel a bit overwhelming, but if you aren't feeling like it, don't fret, you can always just punch your way out of most situations.
I’ve never played a Larian game in my life. However, after seeing all the hype for Baldur's Gate 3 and the upcoming Divinity game, I thought I should see what the studio was all about. I figured Divinity: Original Sin 2 would be the best entry point since it’s cheaper; if I didn't like it, putting it down wouldn't be a huge financial loss. One completed playthrough and 50 hours later, I’m coming away thinking this is one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played. It features an interesting plot and setting, an amazing soundtrack, a great control scheme (at least on controller), and incredibly deep mechanics that I still haven't completely mastered. Before starting, I read some guides and decided to do a "Lone Wolf" run with Fane and the Red Prince with a completionist mindset. However, I found that some achievements can only be unlocked on subsequent runs. Furthermore, the very last endgame achievement, which requires talking to the ship figurehead after beating the final boss, wouldn't unlock no matter how many times I reloaded my save. Outside of that single bugged achievement, I found this to be an excellent game that is well worth your time and money. 9/10
