Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Stellaris not as a game but a simulation of galactic proportions. Lets you choose exactly how much you want to micromanage your empire from assigning the combat orders of each individual ship manually to delegating everything to your AI advisors and watching the game play itself.
Grown on me very quickly compared to the original. More understandable, the GUI is compact and I am having no problems in making good use of the Automation tools. Also good to have a decent level of graphical detail too. Now after more playtime the best way to play is manual control and use those automation tools which suit your play style. This is a fantastic upgrade and I look forward to more content.

I’ve been experiencing persistent issues with my game crashing, and despite trying multiple troubleshooting methods, nothing seems to work. Initially, I tried restarting my computer and the game itself, thinking it might just be a temporary glitch. When that didn’t help, I updated my graphics drivers, ensuring that everything was up to date, as outdated drivers can often lead to compatibility issues. I also checked for any available patches or updates for the game, hoping that a recent fix would address the problem. I delved into the game’s settings, lowering the graphics quality and disabling any unnecessary background processes that could be consuming resources. I even verified the game files to ensure that nothing was corrupted or missing. Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the crashing issue. After much frustration and repeated failed attempts, I’ve decided to uninstall the game for the time being.
Yeni teknolokilerin etkisi ♥♥♥ iyi hissediliyor. Bir ♥♥♥ 4x uzay oyununda 3-5 tane farkli kaynak vardir. Bir kac tanesinde kaynak sayisi bir duzine olabilir. Ama DW2 de idare etmeniz gereken 10larca farkli kaynak var. Bu kaynaklarin tamamina ihtiyaciniz olmayabilir, sectiginiz irkin yada kullandiginiz ekipmanlara gore ihtiyac miktari degisebilir. Kullanacaginiz her kaynagin, kesfedildigi yerden gemilerle yada istasyonla cikarilmasi, yuk gemileriyle kullanilacagi yerlere tasinmasi gerekiyor. Iyi oyunlar
I'm liking this game a lot after messing around for a few different play thoughts. Once you have a good understand of how the game works its great. The down side - they don't do a good enough how to on the game which leaves you clueless as to what is what and then on top of that, Their DLC content is in the guide even if you don't have it making you think your missing something or messing it up. I have to used googles AI to help me understand stuff in the game because it is missing the all important (what does this do or how does it help me) info. Now with that said. Once you get pass that (problem). It offers a lot of fun game play that is just enjoyable. plays much like other games but is a little less messy where others go a little to deep on the micromanaging. Ai does a lot of the background trading which is good so you can do the above board gaming of making the stars yours. Im still learning the money making part of the game but i must be doing something right when i'm making money even when i show a loss. Governments vs private if i understood it. Sound / music are good, however i just pop you-tube space sounding music which is better in the background. overall i'm liking it and just got the other DLCs. i'd rate it a 8/10 would be a 9/10 if they explained the game better.
It kind of puts me in mind with the galactic map of Stellaris and the ship designer of Galactic Civ 3. Also, don't jump in when you're half asleep, the learning curve will need some lights turned on in your brain. I really like the "pre-warp" option. Don't know why. Maybe because it's just different. I also absolutely like how all the different tech types are color coded...but I worry of how that would fail to translate to the colorblind. My biggest complaint is that, the very moment you put on a tier-2 hyperdrive (the warp bubble), and thus the absolute split nanosecond your faction officially becomes interstellar...you're getting ganked by pirates. Only alternative is to not have pirates AT ALL! (And disabling pirates is no fun; they're already crippled enough as-is with their peg legs and eyepatches.) They'll still come to you ANYWAY if you procrastinate on that goal, but at least it'll buy you more time to prepare for the descending raids. ...At the time, that was my biggest complaint, but a hundred hours later, I got a much bigger one. In late game, the game chokes on its own mass! I have several save files that are 200MB *EACH!* It takes minutes to load, and sometimes even freezes/crashes entirely. I've had a whole fleet vanish because the game's maintenance payment calculations got out of sync when running at faster than 2x speed, so all put together, it's a wonderful time starting, but an absolute pain in the reproductive parts to finish what I started.
First of all, do I actually recommend the game? I know this review is tagged as "yes", but there's a serious caveat attached to that yes. If you really wanted to play Distant Worlds Universe, then sure, buy the game! But otherwise, if say you just wanted a nice Space 4X game to enjoy? Stay away, man. CodeForce really went with the mantra of, "why abstract something when you can simulate it?" and frankly, that's not even one of my problems with the game. If anything that's what drew me in. What constantly takes me out of the game is the game's UI. It genuinely feels like I'm actively fighting the UI when I play this game. For example, the event popups on the right side of the screen really don't feel properly integrated with the rest of the game. An example would be a diplomatic popup, where there's zero links to the faction's diplomacy screen. If they tightened up the UI this game would be amazing! An easy recommend! On another matter... the 3D graphics of DW2... I'll be honest, I don't feel like they added much to the game. I'm not normally one to comment on the graphics, but, most of the time you're zoomed out to a point where you don't really see it and frankly when you do zoom in enough to see it, they don't look good at all for 2022/2024. They look like something out of a game from 16 years ago. It's not even a 3D game space with dynamic camera angles. Generally speaking they would've been better off taking the effort put into the 3D graphics (and even relatively primitive 3D graphics take some serious effort over 2D) and put it into proper UI development.
Yes Distant Worlds 2 is recommended
