About
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a hybrid between a life-sim and an adventure game rich with quests, exploration, and engaging activities featuring Disney and Pixar friends, both old and new.
Once an idyllic land, Dreamlight Valley was a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony—until the Forgetting. Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the hopeless inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle.
Now it’s up to you to discover the stories of this world and bring the magic back to Dreamlight Valley!
Free the Dream Castle from the insidious grip of the Forgetting, and unlock the unique Realms of well-loved Disney and Pixar characters, including great queens and kings such as Anna and Simba. Each Realm contains unique challenges with puzzles to solve in the quest to bring friendship back to the Valley.
You’ll start your adventure in the Valley, but your journey will take you to infinity… and beyond! Explore what lurks in the Forest of Valor and brave the deepest caverns as you take on challenges from iconic Disney and Pixar heroes and villains. Who knows who—or what—you might discover.
Garden with WALL•E, cook with Remy or kick back and fish with Goofy. What better way to collect, craft, and rebuild the Valley than with a friend! From beautiful princesses to nefarious villains, every Dreamlight Valley resident brings their own story arc, quests, and rewards. Meet up in daily hangouts and make friends with some of your favorite Disney and Pixar characters..
Return Dreamlight Valley to its former greatness by making it your own. In Dreamlight Valley, you can build the perfect neighborhood that is just for you with a fully customizable layout, creative landscaping, and thousands of decorative items.
Will you settle on the Beach next to Moana, or call Buzz Lightyear your next-door neighbor in the Plaza?
Bring out your inner princess, villain, or Disney bounder! Assemble unique outfits and decorate your home with thousands of fantastic items. Using the Touch of Magic tool, you can even create your own designs with Disney- and Pixar-inspired decals!
With the in-game Camera, get ready to snap a sunset selfie with Mirabel, capture a culinary creation with Remy, or simply cherish a moment.
New content means that there's always something fresh to explore. Meet new characters in the Valley, check out the latest clothing and furniture collections in Scrooge’s Store, and complete challenging in-game events! Be sure to dream your way back to Dreamlight Valley regularly to discover new adventures!

This game is very Disney. In all positive and negative aspects it reflects its company. The negatives first: - expensive game with expensive micro-transactions and expensive dlc - grind heavy and with wait times, especially frustrating in time-limited events - laggy if you have a pc that is not an absolute powerhouse Now the positives: - nostalgia-heavy, multiverse aspects - tons of content (duh, it is Disney) - improved game mechanics compared to other cozy games like Animal Crossing (which I love and still play but oh boy how I do hate terraforming) or Stardew Valley (also absolutely great game but why is fishing so hard) - surprisingly well thought-out main story about depression and growing up (as someone with diagnosed depression I could relate to the story, it was not played down for kids, it even had a trigger warning) - maximum customization options for your character and the valley - heavy on aspects of community and values like friendship, loyalty and, of course, love I still love this game and will put more hours into it. Then I will see if it gets repetetive like some other reviews say. Recommended if you like customizing, Disney characters and are willing to put a bit of effort into it. Just be aware of the trap that are micro-transactions, especially if you are a child or buy this game for your child. 8/10
its amazing i love this game. over 560 hours!
cost is/got insane so won't recommend. Especially since this was suppose to eventually be free to play so I expect even more microtransactions. Forgot about the game for eons and will do so again.

Absolutely love this game! There's so much to do and the creators are always adding to it which makes it keep going with the story line. Even if you don't do the DLC's, the main game itself is super fun!
It took me a little bit to finally play this game. I picked it up and put it down a couple of times, but it has found its place in my heart as a definite favorite. There were a few features that I wasn't aware of initially, that once I understood gameplay became a lot more enjoyable. ^_^ I have now picked up a few DLC as a result. Things that I enjoy: -- Fast Travel. You can fast travel from anywhere outdoors to any of the unlocked fast travel locations, making hopping around the map a lot easier. -- Nostalgic Characters. I love seeing all the characters interact and play into their own stories. It made me wanna re-watch old disney films to refresh my memory on all the storylines. Definitely enjoyable and interesting characters that pull on the old childhood heartstrings. -- Customization Galore. Rearange your house, change your clothes in a flash and re-arrange the whole town! None of the trees, bushes or rocks have resouce or crafting needs. You can place them freely, which is super fun for decorating. -- Getting Moonstones in every day play. Moonstones are in-game currency for fancy online-story items that need to be purchased with in game currency. In 30 days it will give you 1500 moonstones (you get one blue chest a day with 50 moonstones and 3 can accumulate on the map before it caps so you don't have to play daily) -- Dreamsnaps. Being able to enter a photo into a contest to win moonstones. The photo has to follow the weekly theme, but it's really fun to be able to do and a nice option to tailor it to those who can't afford to purchase in-game currency. (Also, in game currency is only used for costmetic options and does not affect gameplay) Things that I am not a huge fan of: -- Beginning Game Resource Grind. Iron ingots are the bane of my exsistence and money making is difficult and grindy until you unlock Pumpkins. -- Food Based Speed Boosts. This is more of an issue at the beginning of the game. Having a full food bar makes you go signifigantly faster, but when youre using all your collected resources on food, rather than selling them when its dire at the beginning of the game...it can be kind of annoying. Damn you iron ingots. -- I wish there was a better way to organize ingredients for cooking-- It's very unintuitive. I also feel like being able to select a recipe from your history to make. -- You can't jump. Let me be a squirrel. -- Grid-like decorating system. I would love to be able to snuggle objects a little closer together - especially for outdoor gardenesque scenes, or cluttered countertops. -- The storage system. There is little description about how important dreamlight is to store up at the beginning of the game so I was spending it all on making my chests larger. Alas, this is a HUGE waste of resources. I wish there was a better option for beginning game chest storage (at least 3 large storage containers provided) to remove the stress of having crappy storage options. Even 130 hours in and I still have to use un-esthetic looking storage sheds to keep everything organized.
I wish i can give a thumbs up and a thumbs down because I LOVEEEEE this game so much! But the devs got greedy, More greedy than The Sims with the micro-transactions, add-ons, and expansions and stuff! But its SOOOO GOOODDDDDDDDDD!
I really like this game in the beginning... and I wanted to keep liking it. But the moment they decided to make it pay to progress, I can no longer stand behind it. Disney is full of money hungry jerks and I'm not going to promote this way of thinking- by trying to get as much money as you possibly can out of your customers. So, no.
