About
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a hybrid between a life-sim and an adventure game rich with quests, exploration, and engaging activities featuring Disney and Pixar friends, both old and new.
Once an idyllic land, Dreamlight Valley was a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony—until the Forgetting. Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the hopeless inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle.
Now it’s up to you to discover the stories of this world and bring the magic back to Dreamlight Valley!
Free the Dream Castle from the insidious grip of the Forgetting, and unlock the unique Realms of well-loved Disney and Pixar characters, including great queens and kings such as Anna and Simba. Each Realm contains unique challenges with puzzles to solve in the quest to bring friendship back to the Valley.
You’ll start your adventure in the Valley, but your journey will take you to infinity… and beyond! Explore what lurks in the Forest of Valor and brave the deepest caverns as you take on challenges from iconic Disney and Pixar heroes and villains. Who knows who—or what—you might discover.
Garden with WALL•E, cook with Remy or kick back and fish with Goofy. What better way to collect, craft, and rebuild the Valley than with a friend! From beautiful princesses to nefarious villains, every Dreamlight Valley resident brings their own story arc, quests, and rewards. Meet up in daily hangouts and make friends with some of your favorite Disney and Pixar characters..
Return Dreamlight Valley to its former greatness by making it your own. In Dreamlight Valley, you can build the perfect neighborhood that is just for you with a fully customizable layout, creative landscaping, and thousands of decorative items.
Will you settle on the Beach next to Moana, or call Buzz Lightyear your next-door neighbor in the Plaza?
Bring out your inner princess, villain, or Disney bounder! Assemble unique outfits and decorate your home with thousands of fantastic items. Using the Touch of Magic tool, you can even create your own designs with Disney- and Pixar-inspired decals!
With the in-game Camera, get ready to snap a sunset selfie with Mirabel, capture a culinary creation with Remy, or simply cherish a moment.

Thought ddv would be a cozy disney game. Turns out I’m the unpaid intern responsible for farming, mining, cooking, fishing, decorating, and solving everyone’s personal problems. Still relaxing though. 10/10 would harvest pumpkins for cartoon characters again.
This game is NOT for kids. Characters do not even speak. Kids cannot play until they are very very proficient with reading LOTS of very boring and redundant text. Game play is overly complex and repetitive. Very boring game overall.
I absolutely love Disney Dreamlight Valley. It has everything I felt was missing from Animal Crossing: New Horizons — more story, more quests, more interaction with characters, and a world that feels alive all the time. The Disney atmosphere makes the game incredibly cozy and magical, and unlocking new characters and areas is genuinely exciting. It’s relaxing like Animal Crossing, but with much more to do and a stronger sense of progression. Definitely one of my favorite cozy games.
Hi Gameloft Team, I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the decision to remove the Steam version of Disney Dreamlight Valley from NVIDIA GeForce NOW. For me, and many other players, GeForce NOW was the only viable way to play the game smoothly and decently. By removing it, you have effectively locked me out of a game that I legally own and have invested countless hours into. I care a lot about my save file and the valley I built, and it feels incredibly unfair to lose access to it like this. I will definitely not spend hundreds of euros on a high-end gaming PC just for one game, nor am I willing to pay overpriced monthly fees for alternative virtual desktop services just to access my own Steam library. As a direct result of this decision, I am unable to play the game, which also means I cannot and will not purchase any future DLCs or in-game content. You are actively pushing away loyal, paying customers. Please reconsider this decision and bring the Steam version back to GeForce NOW. Kind regards,
Clearly I like this game given how many hours I have spent playing it. I am a Disney nerd and also a farming sim nerd, so put the two together and it is a win-win. However!!! This is getting a thumbs down from me because there is too much paid DLC. When they launched this game, it was promised that paid DLC would be a rare thing. But now it seems it is very frequent and required purchases considering the amount of new game play it adds to the game. If they continue down this road, It will only make more players feel more and more like they are there to add money to the developers pockets. I am hopeful that this game will start to think more about its players, and less on seeing how much paid content they can push. It is unfair and makes me want to quit playing the game all together.
it breaks my heart to make this reveiw however upon return to this game i see no improvments and only let downs. which is nothing new for Disney at this point... not only does this company NOT keep the promises they made when they released the game. they continue to do things that only serve as a let down for the community. This game has potential at its core but if the game developers dont get their act together and stop paywalling literally everything fun they will continue to lose their fan base. i write this reveiw not out of anger but in hopes that maybe just maybe someone will actually do something to improve this game even just a little bit. greed, and lack of care will be the end of this game.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, deleted my cloud save. richest company in the damn world and can't manage a game properly
I got this game day one of early access and it’s been a wild ride. From a game that first promised it would be free to play to paid dlc (mulitple of those) and from nice in-game cute outfits to almost only-premium shop content it sure has been a journey unlike I anticipated. But one I am glad to be part of, somehow. STORYAP: You are a traumatized adult living in our world. Somehow, you find your way back to Disney Dreamlight valley, this is either a real place or your own imaginative world you invented to deal with struggles as a child (which is valid). Donald Duck or Merlin or Scrooge (its been years I warned you xD) Welcomes you and in true farming sim fashion you are made the problem solver and in true disney fashion you are not allowed to use your fists. Think of this as Disney meets Stardew meets the sims, but without any needs except your own annoying energy meter, of course. Cannot be a farming sim without an annoying energy meter. Gods I hate those. Anyhow, you are the main character of this valley and all characters relay on you to solve their problems, do their quests and basically also house them. None of this is timed nor is it required to feed the villagers, or else I would’ve ran into a few corpses. Something DDLV does good is that it keeps having updates so far with starpaths which you can unlock with moonstones (cost real money). You can participate in these cute themed events and do tasks and duties to earn the currency and buy cute exclusive items that likely won’t come back, ever. Maybe in a premium shop if you are the gods chosen one. Another thing is the seamlessly woven storyline which is absolutely something unique and amazingly daring for a disney game that proves this game definitely was not made with kids in mind, and more focussed on adults. I will warn you of a big spoiler here and now dive into the end of the main game so beaware.
I am as many cozy gamers depressed. A sad reality some of us have to deal with. I admit that the storyline of our character/us basically suffering for what many indentified as depression throughout the story (before we became the evil forgotten) threw me the hell off because this was before they added the warning and I was very triggered and upset and had to put the game down, but after its been four years, I can reflect properly and think this was one of the best choices Disney made in their storylines perhaps ever. It reflects greatly on who I am, my struggles and the Forgotten reminds me a ton of my old self and has become a close friend of mine for that. Many of us saw the forgotten as the enemy, but in truth they are our hurt innerchild that is heavily traumatized and so I think we should give them some kudos for being here at all. That said, not every person dealing with depression wants this confrontation in their games and I’ve heard from many, many many other players they did NOT appreciate this and that is also a valid reaction because none of us knew when we bought it we’d be confronted with it to this scale. Luckily, like many great storylines in Disney, this happens once and is never mentioned again!
DLC notes: DLCS dont add achievements and THANK GODS. The DLCS are fun, add new storylines and characters and I almost enjoyed all of them. There’s two I didn’t enjoy and here is why: 1. I did not finish the wishblossom ranch one, so I cannot give you my honest proper opinion 2. The honeyglow pooh woods (or how its called) is not in my possession at the moment so again, not fair for me to hype it up or blow it to shreds. Just being honest. I didn’t not enjoy them, but I didn’t enjoy them, because well I don’t have them or finished them fully. The BAD. I think I called them out enough on the ‘’free to play to dlc situationship’’ so we don’t mention this here. Oh we just did. Well. Another issue I have is their premium store. The Premium store is the ultimate fear-of-missing-out feast as its this store of WEEKLY new items rotating and they have an expensive price tag attached in the form of MOONSTONES. Moonstones are these in game currency items you need to buy WITH REAL MONEY and that is exactly where my issue lies deeply with this game. Moonstones could be earned with participating in weekly dreamsnaps and making a sacrafice to the gods to win one (I never won more than 4k, which was good enough on its own) and often RELY on new items bought in the SAME premium store you wanted to get moonstones for in the first place. (For example, there is a snowwhite themed snap and you get the snowwhite bundle in the premium shop in the first week. People with moonstones will easily purchase this to get MORE moonstones, when us poor folks remain as poor as we are) This wouldn’t be so bad, if we got free items in our stores which take up a ton of space in our valleys. Long story short: Gameloft has absolutely abandoned this whole store because why would you bother updating this as you can just use the premium store which makes you real life money right? Why would you. A lot of the disney dreamlight community influncers thinks this issue is fine as they often have some way to make money in real life to afford monthly moonstone bundles and buy their socks off but I don’t so I’m gonna give it you straight as it is. It is a terribly greedy design and I hate it. The critters are my weaknes tho. I will be honest. They get me with the premium companion designs EVERY SINGLE TIME. I am poor now though, so there's no need for me to check the premium store, and therefore, in my opinion: No need to log in at all. It’s sad. But that's where the state of the game is at now. I don’t see this improving. I see this getting worse, if anything. I am not saying nuke the premium shop, but that's exactly what I am saying. No all jokes aside, if they just did a small update with regular shop items i wouldve been happier. OVERALL: I think this review started so positive and so good, and I got so much fun when we started but I think this where I need to be honest about it and honest to whoever is reading this big block of text. No. I do not recommend Disney dreamlight valley in its current state, while it is an amazing game, especially if you suffer from fear of missing out, hate limited time events and expensive in game currency, you won’t enjoy this game, no matter how bad the makers play on the nostalgic factor.
Game is so buggy and of course micro transactions . If game was not as buggy I would say a very fun phone game
Great gameplay BUT most cosmetics even ones you pay for have clipping issues and updates are buggy and glitchy. No quality what so ever. I like to look at pretty things and it's just ugly.
