Game crashes before getting to main menu after launching from Steam. Windows 11 25H2. Developers need to fix this. Until they do, I would say not to buy this game, and find another game title to play.

A jogabilidade é ok.

Doesn't get past controller selection screen. Refuses to accept anything as an A button, from keyboard/mouse or a controller. 0/5 stars. Disappoints me to have to say this because I loved this game when it was on Wii.
Alice in Wonderland is an action-adventure title that draws heavily from the surreal imagery and tone of Tim Burton’s film adaptation while also echoing the playful absurdity of Lewis Carroll’s original work. Developed by Étranges Libellules Studios and published by Disney, the game positions itself less as a direct retelling and more as an interpretive journey through a distorted fantasy world where logic is flexible and imagination rules. From the outset, the game emphasizes wonder and strangeness, inviting players into a version of Wonderland that feels alive, unpredictable, and deliberately unconventional. One of the most immediately striking aspects of the game is its visual design. Wonderland is presented as a vibrant, dreamlike landscape filled with twisted architecture, exaggerated proportions, and environments that constantly feel on the verge of transforming. Forests curl unnaturally, pathways float or collapse without warning, and familiar locations are reimagined through a darker, more stylized lens. While the graphics are clearly rooted in the technology of their time, the art direction does much of the heavy lifting, ensuring that the world remains visually engaging even years later. The sense of stepping into a living storybook is strong, and exploration often feels rewarding simply because of the scenery and creative set pieces. Gameplay takes an unusual approach by having players guide Alice indirectly rather than controlling her in a traditional sense. Instead, players switch between various Wonderland inhabitants, each possessing unique abilities that affect the environment and enemies in different ways. Characters such as the Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, and Mad Hatter serve as tools through which puzzles are solved and obstacles are overcome. This system reinforces the theme that Alice survives not through strength alone, but through cooperation, cleverness, and the bizarre logic of Wonderland itself. As the game progresses, puzzles become more layered, requiring players to think about timing, perspective, and how different abilities interact with the environment. The narrative is intentionally loose, focusing on the idea that Wonderland is under threat from the Jabberwocky and that Alice must help restore balance. Rather than closely following the film’s storyline, the game uses familiar characters and concepts as narrative anchors while allowing events to unfold in a more game-driven way. Dialogue tends to be light and whimsical, often leaning into humor and wordplay, which helps maintain a playful tone even during moments of danger. This approach makes the story accessible to younger players while still offering enough charm to keep older fans engaged. Combat exists but is not the central focus of the experience. Encounters with enemies are relatively simple and tend to emphasize positioning and ability usage rather than fast reflexes or complex combos. This design choice keeps the pacing relaxed and prevents the game from becoming overly stressful, but it can also lead to repetition over longer play sessions. The real satisfaction comes less from defeating enemies and more from successfully navigating Wonderland’s hazards and unraveling its environmental puzzles. In terms of structure, Alice in Wonderland is a fairly short experience. Most players can expect to complete the main story within a handful of hours, which makes it feel concise and tightly paced rather than sprawling. While there are collectibles and optional challenges scattered throughout the world, replay value largely depends on one’s enjoyment of the setting and mechanics rather than on radically different outcomes. The relatively brief length can feel limiting, but it also ensures that the game does not overstay its welcome or dilute its core ideas. Community reception reflects this balance of strengths and weaknesses. Players often praise the game’s atmosphere, creativity, and family-friendly charm, while criticisms typically focus on its simplicity, repetitive combat, and limited length. It is rarely regarded as a deep or mechanically ambitious title, but many players remember it fondly as a charming adaptation that prioritizes imagination over complexity. Ultimately, Alice in Wonderland succeeds as a whimsical adventure that captures the spirit of a beloved fantasy world without trying to reinvent the genre. Its greatest appeal lies in its atmosphere, inventive puzzles, and the joy of exploring a strange and colorful interpretation of Wonderland. While it may not satisfy players looking for long campaigns or deep systems, it offers a memorable, visually rich journey that feels true to the curious, off-kilter heart of its source material. Rating: 7/10
