THIS IS CINEMA
one of the best games ever made
bought this when it was on sale. the purchase was worth it. the graphics and art style are beautiful. the game mechanics are fun. the story is interesting. this game is fire
amazing
Purchased from a Steam sale for like a buck and spent 10 hours completing my first run. I say first because I really want to go back through and see how it feels to do a low chaos run after my high chaos one. If you are a fan of some other Bethesda works, I'm sure you'll have a fine time with this one, definitely worth. Added after my no kill/ low chaos run: felt like a totally different game, would totally recommend doing two playthroughs for high and low chaos. The Low Chaos ending is way better though lol
after playing for a bit i realized that dishonored is just european undertale: - 3 endings (pacifist, neutral, evil) - sparing and nonlethality is possible - both games reward you significantly for using nonlethal options - you can beat both games without ever attacking or using your weapon - main character is canonically able to use magical abilities (frisk can save/load, corvo can teleport/stop time etc) - both games have you up against monsters (in the case of dishonored, proverbially (and sometimes literally if you count weepers, witches, rats and the like)) - the player is rewarded for exploration & discovering lore - both protagonists are silent, or only talk in dialogue choices - both protagonists have: black hair, - have (or have to protect) someone they care about deeply, - eat random sh1t to regain health, - are avid mercantiles and often visit shopkeeps, - and have fallen in some way (frisk falls down mt. ebott, while corvo falls from grace after being "dishonored" *roll credits*) - both games tell a story of surviving great hardships and uncertainty
Simply the best game of its genre
after only doing high chaos runs years ago coming back to the game years later and playing the entire game and both the dlc's low chaos is such a breath of fresh air
