About
Disfigure is a horde survivor game with a horror twist. In an arena shrouded in shadow, pay close attention to your surroundings—vision is restricted and monsters can be anywhere. Swap between Circle and Cone Vision modes: one lets you see nearby, while the other lets you see farther in one direction. Fight escalating hordes, bosses, and survive!
Collect EXP from enemies to level up and discover hundreds of upgrades. From singularities to radiation, the possibilities are limitless. You can wield lightning and fire, shoot thousands of bullets, create a whirlwind of swords... the choice is yours. Every upgrade tree changes the way you play. Even Vision itself can be shaped to your advantage: will you sacrifice it to increase power, or bolster it as your beacon in the depths?
Every run rewards you with Credits to unlock new weapons, gear, and permanent upgrades. Each weapon has its own unique projectiles and perks, offering plenty of options to suit your playstyle. (There's a flamethrower!) Invest your earnings into powering up your character or adding run modifiers that reshape future runs.

When this game first came out in 2023, I knew it was something special, but I didn't have the best experience since I was on a laptop (I am not great with K&B). Nonetheless, I had fun with the game. Fast forward now 3 years later and I got a steam deck. I decided to download this game on it and man does the game feels even better now that I have something to better play it on. Runs are fun and every weapon is viable, which I am a big fan of. The game also allows for every potential playstyle, from pure gun/melee, going all in on elemental attacks, or doing a mix of both. The only real issue I can say I have with this game is that it burns battery on the steam deck pretty quickly (20-30% gone in one 20-30 minute run; this is based off a second-hand LCD steam deck), but since that's more a hardware issue rather than a game issue that should not discourage you from giving this game a try. Overall, I am still amazed that this game was not only free for so long (I believe it's 5 dollars USD now? Still worth it), but is the only game under Cold Brew's belt. It is legitimately great and a game I am glad I invested on those three years ago.

Great game. It improved a lot over the years.
Very very good. Lotsa variety and things to try. Would recommend to anybody that likes these types of games
The fact that i get it for free because i played it in early access is awesome and very generous game was cool when i played it, its even cooler now from what ive seen on yt a BIG thanks to the devs for their generosity, this positive review is the least i can do for them
Узнал что скоро будет релиз этой замечательной игры. Разраб красава, удачи ему.
From a free little game to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 1.0
I've been playing **Disfigure since way before 1.0**, back when this was a much smaller free game, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it's actually crazy seeing what it has turned into. This isn't one of those games where the devs slapped a **1.0** on it and called it a day. Over the years they just kept adding ♥♥♥♥. More weapons, more upgrade trees, mutations, bosses, maps, challenges, progression, and increasingly stupid ways to completely break a run. And that's probably my favorite thing about Disfigure. You can make some absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous builds. You start a run shooting monsters with what feels like a normal weapon, then 20 minutes later you've somehow created an unholy abomination throwing lightning, fire, radiation, blades, explosions and a billion projectiles across the screen while you're trying to figure out what the ♥♥♥♥ is even happening anymore. And somehow it works. The darkness mechanic is also still one of the coolest parts of the game. Enemies aren't just conveniently visible across the entire map. A huge part of the game is literally deciding **what you can see**. Circle vision gives you awareness around you, cone vision lets you see farther ahead, and there are builds where even your vision becomes another thing you can ♥♥♥♥ around with. It sounds like a small gimmick until you're surrounded, half the screen is black, you know something horrible is coming toward you, and your build is barely holding the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ apocalypse back. That's Disfigure. And the weapon variety is genuinely good too. Guns, swords, saws, explosives, lasers, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle axes... they aren't just the same weapon with different numbers either. Different weapons can push you toward completely different builds, and once you start mixing them with the massive upgrade system and mutations, there's a stupid amount of ♥♥♥♥ to experiment with. The game knows exactly what makes this genre fun: "Okay, but what if I combine THIS with THIS?" Then you try it. It either becomes completely broken or gets you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killed. Then you immediately start another run. The art style deserves some love too. It's simple, dark, grimy and almost completely drowned in black, white and whatever horrifying ♥♥♥♥ is currently trying to murder you. It gives the game an identity instead of looking like another colorful Vampire Survivors clone. Is it the biggest roguelike ever made? No. Does it need to be? **♥♥♥♥ no.** It's cheap, the runs are fast, there's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to unlock and experiment with, and it's one of those games where **"I'll do one run" somehow turns into several hours.** But more than anything, it's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool seeing a game you've played for years finally reach this point. Three years of updates. Three years of watching this thing get bigger and better. And now Disfigure is finally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 1.0. To the devs: **congratulations. You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cooked.**
Awesome ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Easy recommend.
I played this while it was free and paid for the supporter pack, can't wait to dig into what they managed to make this game into.
