Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Если нравится космический сеттинг, то пойдёт. Сюжетно ничего кардинально нового не придумывает, но как и положено жанру даёт большой разлёт сюжетных поворотов. В механике много стелса и чуть меньше QTE.
Way to slow for my taste, its more story than gaming. Run around opening stuff, thats all I was doing. Outcome different if I dont. but still the same. pointless..

There is only one word for me to describe this game and that word is bad. They really made the right decision not to call this The dark pictures Anthology - Directive 8020. It was very repetetive. The Story was not really enjoyable. Too much stealth. For a choices matter game I expected the choices to be significant but no. I am not going to say anything about the Curator since that is a whole other conversation but for me this just did not feel like a dark pictures anthology game. At least they were brave enough to change the mechanics and so on but all these features make it less enjoyable for me. Other people might feel different and thats fine.
Pretty good scifi horror story! Pretty unenjoyable stealth horror gameplay was way too common. I wish this had been closer hewing to the supermassive games gameplay; the best bit by far was the final climactic [spoiler] when the gameplay *did* shift back to primarily interactive cinematic.
Pros - Rewind feature makes it easy to mop up achievements. Excellent accessibility settings. Beautiful graphics. Great tension building using atmosphere and music. Nice twist ending. Cons - The stealth element was overused and became stale by the end portion of the game. I don’t know why but it feels like a stand alone game rather than part of the anthology, even though the game opens with ‘The Dark Pictures’ I wasn’t a huge fan of the messaging system, the use of that lost player connection to the characters. Overall it’s a solid entry to the supermassive catalog. I don’t think it deserves the mixed reviews but I understand why fans of The Dark Picture Anthology are disappointed with how this one plays compared to the previous games.
I liked the game and it had a great story👍. but my main issue was finding batteries to open doors. This mechanic felt really repetitive, and it was overused in the final parts of the game.
Directive 8020 turned out much better than the expectations I had for it going into this. It is probably my 2nd favourite in the series after House of Ashes. The story was a bit cliché but the twist I personally found fun. Contrary to popular opinion I found the voice acting fine, and whereas the face models and animations were a bit off, they always really are in these games. No performance issues at all on maxed out settings. If you liked any of the previous games in The Dark Pictures series I strongly recommend giving this one a chance too.
