For those who tried this game in the past and didnt like it, I highly recommend you try it again! This game is visually beautiful and the performance is great. The devs are back and pushing hard! Huge updates and bug fixs left and right, devs are listening and responding on discord and I for one am extremely impressed. This game has some insane potential. The devs are back on track and cookin with seasoning. Join the discord and help them help us, everything I personally brought to their attention they has been fixed/implemented withing 24 hours. PLEASE DONT JUDGE THIS GAME BASED ON WHAT PEOPLE EXPERIENCED A COUPLE YEARS AGO! This is a brand new experience with tons to come.
trash. straight trash.
Direct Contact is still rough around the edges, but there is something genuinely promising here if you enjoy tactical shooters in the older Ghost Recon / military sim space. It is not yet a polished finished product, and some of the systems clearly still need work, but the developer appears to be moving in the right direction. The most encouraging thing is the recent pace of updates. The game feels like it is actively being worked on rather than abandoned, and the focus on AI behaviour, tactical systems and overall refinement is exactly what this type of game needs. For me, the appeal is less about what it is right now and more about the direction it seems to be heading. If the AI continues to improve and the missions become more believable and dynamic, Direct Contact could grow into something quite special for players who miss slower, more deliberate tactical shooters. It will not be for everyone, especially if you expect Call of Duty-level polish, but if you are willing to tolerate some jank and support a project with potential, it is worth keeping an eye on. At a low price, I think it is an easy recommendation for fans of tactical FPS games who enjoy watching a promising project develop.
LOVE IT
This is one of those perfect examples of just being OK supporting a dev team and letting them cook. There are a lot of great pieces here that don't always seemlessly fit together and it's evident there is a vision and a plan under the hood. There is also a developer actively growing his craft here. What there isn't. This isn't a complete game yet. It has its frustrations. What is important to me is it makes no claims otherwise. If the develper sticks to his guns and builds it for the right reasons he can be proud of the outcomes. They aren't claiming to be AA or anything but indie. Some of the goals aren't obvious. Some of the asset packs for my taste are a bit too flipped. Limited attempts to expand on the example layouts is a real detriment but this can all be evolved. What is there? Some fun levels. Some good shooting and AI npcs are easy fodder. A good variable storied mission.
no...just no......horrible gameplay.....horrible graphics......dont buy it !! just saying
yes
