https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Pi8UWi4Ui8 As a concept, this is one of the smartest VR games I've seen; such a simple but novel idea that utilizes VR in an outside the box manner. Now, it's worth noting that Diorama Worlds is only a 'game' in as much as titles like Tilt Brush or Medium are. It's more of a utility for making spectacular little dioramas that you can view as miniatures in your hand, or blown up to life size scale. For that reason, I would caution that this game is mostly going to appeal more to the type of person who enjoys that kind of thing, as the satisfaction I derive from it reminds me of the same kind of satisfaction I get from painting miniatures, model building, sculpting, painting, etc. Building virtual dioramas is done by selecting a theme (sci-fi, fantasy, etc) and then selecting and placing objects from sub-menus, such as furniture, people, buildings, etc. I'm not sure how many models there are to choose from right now, but there is a lot! What I really loved was the small attention to detail props. When I was making my diorama of an office, it gave me great satisfaction to find I could place little electrical sockets on the walls, and a desktop tower under the worker's desk, along with a keyboard and mouse in front of the computer monitor. As you can imagine, with this kind of attention to detail the quality of your dioramas are limited only by your imagination, so if you enjoy making things you are going to love this. Sound is not relevant to this game and it is hard to describe graphics, since different models have different qualities (some detailed, others stylistically low poly). The only real technical hurdle for Diorama Worlds is in the controls. There is definitely a learning curve, and at first I was put off because I thought it was too difficult and non-intuitive. I will say that, like everything, after some time messing around it definitely does get easier and you begin to recall how to manipulate stuff without having to think twice about it. Thankfully, button mappings are always visible at all times as an overlay on the controllers. Holding down the grips temporarily changes what buttons do (like if held down the shift key on a keyboard). The tutorial is a great way to get used to making your own dioramas, although even so there are some concepts that are not explained as much as I'd have liked, such as grid layers, which took me some time to comprehend on my own. In terms of UI the use of a touchable board is a fine way to navigate submenus of assets, particularly since you can 'place it down' in a static spot. It can certainly get confusing trying to remember which submenu has what and trying to find an item you saw earlier can be tricky, but in dealing with so many assets it is understandable why this style of catagorization was chosen. The game is great right now, but I think a huge hinge for its future will be in the continual updating of assets to keep it fresh and interesting. I don't really know the technical limitations are, but it would be amazing if there was some kind of Workshop integration where players could upload, share and import their own custom models into the game. I think it would breathe a huge amount of life into it, much as Workshop did for Tabletop Simulator. My final thought is the current price of $8 is extremely fair. I think $15 would have been a fair price to ask, so half of that is very reasonable and a nice gesture by the dev. And on that note, the dev (as far as I can tell it's just one guy) has been awesome at interacting with the community and taking feedback, which is a great sign for future development.
This diorama-maker is really good! I love that you can scale any object and that the performance, even though there are many objects on screen, is pretty solid. The fact that more object will be added weekly is a deal breaker for me. Nice work dev!
I could spend hours on this game for all there is to do. So many possibilities! Thanks for a great game!

As near as I can tell, there are literally two games in this genre - this one and Tiny Town VR. There are pros and cons to each: 1) Diorama Worlds appears to give you limited animation while Tiny Town does not - the best reason to get this 2) Diorama Worlds has no tutorial and is WAY less intuitive than Tiny Town VR 3) Tiny Town VR appears to have more assets in general, but all are completely static and offer very little customization 4) Tiny Town VR appears way more stable at this point 5) Tiny Town VR has multiple various features to make it easier to place, move, copy/paste, etc. art assets - Diorama Worlds may have such tools, but good luck finding them without doing a search via the forums or a Wiki. Despite the fact that Tiny Town VR has a lot more polish, more assets, and has the oh so important 'ease of use' concept down pat, I'd still say pick both up if you can. However, if Tiny Town VR ever adds any sort of animation feature, than skip Diorama Worlds, as that is basically the one and only reason to get it over Tiny Town VR.
This is amazing. So much fun. If you like Tilt brush then you will love this. Well worth the money. Well done publishers. Look forward to updates Pros So many objects to work with. Very detailed. Runs just fine. Cons Steep learning curve of menu system Little bit buggy No sound effects
Got this game in a really cheap bundle and I have to say out of all the games, this one is the best. It's exactly what it says in the name. It's building Dioramas in VR. You get to place little figures out on your scene and position them how you want. You can build epic battle scenes, alien invasions, or just a peceaful festival. The only issue I have with this game is that it needs better instructions. There is no tutorial or instructions on how to do anything. You can apparently build your own platformer, but how? Not sure if you can create a gif or panoramic shots so that you can share with others. Like I said, lack of instructions in game.
This program has so much potential. The downside, is the lack of friendly controls. There is a bit of a learning curve that will require using this for an hour or so to get use to how things work. You can tell the devs created this as a tool for their own use because of this...BUT once you figure it out this is really addictive. There are so many models to use and position that you can create almost any scene. You have so much control right down to being able to bend and twist every joint, even each knuckle on each finger. Super detailed. then you can zoom out to take it all in, or shrink down to the size of a character and walk around your scene and see everything in your face, up close and personal! If the devs just took some time to make this idiot proof with more easy to understand controls and on screen help boxes, etc I think they could begin charging much more than the 1.99 they are currently asking for! For this price you would be crazy not to try it.
