Fun, polished and fluid gameplay. I really enjoyed playing it. Not much content though and levels aren't varied enough. But it's early access so it's understandable ;). Looking forward for next updates!
This game is like cotton candy: The flavor is intense and sweet at first, though it quickly dissolves and fades to nothing in seconds.
Update May 2024: The game is unfinished and dead. Last update was years ago, the dev is silent and clearly abandoned this. Changing my review to negative. Dimension Drifter is a really repetitive but fun dungeon shooter. It is very similar to Unloved and retro shooters in general, except - for now - there is very little content in it. Enemy variety and gun variety is really low, not nearly enough to encourage the replay. The maps are identical when it comes to visuals, and the repetition is really noticeable. Simply put, the game needs a lot more content and a lot more perks to enhance the replay value. As it is now, it's simply too boring. The gunplay is good and hectic, so the foundation is there for something cool. I do have some gripes with the gameplay: I don't really understand the purpose of unopenable doors. Sometimes there aren't any lockpicks in the level to open every door. There is also no risk-reward associated with this, because we never know what could be behind the locked doors. The way enemies spawn is also kinda bad, sometimes they would spawn right on top you and trap you in a small corner. Also it would be nice to have a more lore related objective than "get to the black box". Switching weapons with the scroll would also be better, since fights are always hectic and fast paced. I hope the developer expands this into something bigger and better soon.
they can improve on fps pov. its better then me trying to make a game.
Got it for free, tried it out years ago. To be honest, it's not too bad of a time killer. I do wish there were more weapon options / customization options earlier on, but it's not a major issue.
LOVE it! Old fashioned twitch shooting... very addictive. Wished the mouse scroll changed weapons though
This is a very good game for PC, I really like it a lot.
Fun game, similar to Doom but third person, also more-so similar to UNLOVED and I really like this game. I like the third person aspect I got it cheap, it looks clean, plays well, can't wait to see full release (:
轻量级版本的类国产游戏光明记忆。闪避用得好,怪物完全伤不了。但是坑爹的是子弹用完就无法完了,只能被捶死。
the jury is out on this one, i loved his previous title unloved it was a game he stuck with and worked through a lot of the issues. this game he expected to be in early access 12 month, it has been 18 and i see little that could be called progress but i hold out hope
