The game is clear about what it is. The whole store page is plastered with the info that it's only 1 boss fight, because I suspect otherwise they would have dissapointed a lot more people. I knew what i was getting myself into, but yet i still came out dissapointed. 11 Minutes is the time i spent in this game. 3 of those were just setting up my keyboard layout though, and the into was another minute. 7 Minutes left. That's how long it took me to beat the boss on the normal difficulty. Did i enjoy those 7 minutes? Partly. The large health-bar of the enemy makes it kinda feel repetetive extremely quickly. He does have different attack patterns for the different phases of the fight, but they are all essentially very similar. So considering that, i'd say there were about 5 minutes of real fun left in this. It feels like a demo, like something you'd see on itch.io as an alpha build. And that's a huge shame, because it is a REALLY solid demo, and it feels extremely promising! But there isn't any more to it. The problem lies entirely with the price. 3 bucks isn't enough to be MAD about. I had a couple of minutes of fun, and there are certainly ways of spending 3 bucks that are less fun. But in my opinion that doesn't make it a good deal either, especially when there are so many free demos on Steam, some of which offer HOURS of fun, and also leave you with the prospect of eventually buying the full game. Had it been free, i would not have complained. Had it been MORE expensive but been a full game, i would not have complained. But this? This is just kind of the worst of both worlds.
A 30-minute adventure: in and out. A game that used to be free, about which there isn’t really much to say. It’s a retro demake of the game [Furi] and only offers 20–30 minutes’ worth of content. I decided to play through it simply because I can, and because I’d added it to my library for free a while back. «Furi Demake» is a classic 8-bit arcade-style game. The music, visuals and combat are all straight out of that era. In terms of content, there’s a single boss who’s incredibly infuriating with his projectiles on the highest difficulty setting, and who also blocks almost all standard attacks; you can’t beat him by brute force, just like in the old arcade games, which were designed to squeeze as much money out of players as possible. If you picked up the game when it was free, you can have a go at it, but there are no cards or achievements in it. It’s designed purely for fans of retro gaming and will help you pass 30 minutes quite nicely. That’s all. It was fun when it was free and it's still fun for $3 or less. These negative reviews for it being changed to $3 are wack and entitled nonsense. I bet they're all happily paying 7 bucks for coffee every morning without complaint. If you're looking at this game it's probably because you liked Furi, and if you liked Furi then you will like this.

I cover a wide range of genres both paid and unpaid, providing unbiased opinions as well as regular giveaway events.
Video Review https://youtu.be/gbtvbLxEZ_o
Free Re-Released As Paid
They released it as a paid product after all these years to try to promote it to new players to get them to play Furi. This means they care about money, money for a niche title that really didn't do all that great over the years, I don't know about you, but to pay (3) dollars for a single boss that can be killed in as little as 5 minutes, is not very interesting as a marketing choice. The game was a gift to their community, it feels underhanded. Furi was a great game, a decade ago. Most people have moved onto better boss rush titles, it's definitely aged (the original not the demake) compared to things like NanoApostle, Eldest Souls and so on, it's repetitive and not all that fun once you understand how to cheese and undermine every fight / bullet hell encounter.
Conclusion
If you got the game for free, it was alright. Not worth purchasing. Though picking up the original is still and okay choice, if you want something different than the norms.
This absolutely needs to be a full game, this fight is so cool I require more of this
Fine if you get it for free, but frankly, my computer can handle Elden Ring and RDR2 at 60 FPS but couldn't break 20 FPS with this retro baby. And of course there are no graphical settings I can adjust. The post-battle summary tells me I spent 13 minutes in the fight, my Steam Playtime says 25min because of course, lag Just go watch an episode of Seinfeld instead
ну короче спамер этот ваш босс
Only buy it on Steam if you want to financially support them ! Otherwise just grab it on itch.io and save your cash!
Not recommended unless you're a hardcore fan. It was free at first, but then it suddenly became paid after the standard PR speech: 'The game didn't get enough visibility. We want more players. We want to add it to more events and discounts etc….' And since then, it's been completely ignored. There have been no updates, no news and no new bosses. What sucks: The Steam UI keeps bugging out in the bottom right (NWJS engine common problem) When you try to take a screenshot, the chrome developer console opens. The performance is under 40 FPS on my laptop with Intel Iris graphics... I know it's not the strongest, but for a 2D game this should run smooth. Other 2D games way more demanding (Hollow Knight, Silksong) run stable at 60 FPS Content-wise: Only ONE boss, ~15 minutes of gameplay. That's it, and more probably isn't coming. Not worth the money. The game is actually available for free on itch.io from the same DEV… Only buy it on Steam if you want to financially support them ! Otherwise just grab it on itch.io and save your cash.
