Diluvian Ultra is a single-player, first-person shooter focusing on a retro aesthetic and fast-paced, strategic combat. The game is set in its own expansive fictive universe. Rather than gritty or dark, Diluvian Ultra is colorful and fantastical, like the cover of pulp sci-fi novels of the past.

About
Become the immortal warrior-prince Atilla, awakened after millenia in deep space by an impudent invasion of your tomb-ship. Pick up your blood-sword and investigate - are these intruders the old enemies from your past, or as yet unknown foes to conquer? No matter, they have rooted themselves into the ship and defiled all that is sacred to you with their foul presence. It is time to drive them out into the void and save your people.
Awaken prince, and carve a red ruin!
Diluvian Ultra: Chapter One includes 10 levels + a hub, 6 different weapons with 30 different upgrades and 13 enemy types.
Further chapters continuing Atilla’s story as well as expanding his arsenal and the roster of enemies to obliterate will be released as paid DLCs at a future date.
Diluvian Ultra’s combat is built around a dual-damage system where you have to combine weapons to be effective. Armour absorbs damage, but some weapons are designed to quickly strip it off your targets - unable to kill them, but exposing them for a single lethal blow. You have to be careful though, as enemies will mix their attacks in the same way. Collect and consume blood to upgrade your weapons and pick up various power-ups at the opportune moment, to become vengeance incarnate - if only for a while!
Surviving in Diluvian Ultra is all about mobility. Dodge enemy fire while you chain together ranged attacks with close combat blows and devastating ground slams. Double-jump, dash, find cover and even deflect projectiles with your sword, but never stay in one place for too long!
Your spaceship home is a living combination of flesh and stone, and so it is with your arsenal of weapons; use both traditional Tech weapons as well as grotesque, living Organic armaments, and don’t forget to take good care of your closest companion, your sentient Squire Gun, Bella.
Diluvian Ultra may be an over the top retro FPS filled with frenetic action, but all that carnage is set on a background of an epic, tragic story tackling the themes of fanaticism, trauma, betrayal and hope for redemption, playing out in neo-gothic architectural set pieces and immense, cathedral-like spaceships.

acctually good game considering i paid 39p for this off loaded. hella worth how much ever you paid for it
Despite some minor issues, and a big one (more on that in a sec) I think this is a good game and I had fun with it. The minor issues might be subjective and I don't think they are worth elaborating on too much - mostly they are caused by the relatively low budget so some of the sound effects and polish are not that high a level, however, the game makes up for this with tons of character. The big issue, which many complain in the forum and it's the reason why this game is at mostly positive and not (comfortably) at very positive, is that when you continue the savegame you lose all the weapons. Just make sure that you don't quit playing when you are halfway or near the end of the level and restart it if that happens to you. It's just a little extra effort to be able to appreciate this game which is better than most in the genre, although obviously it would be nice if they fix this. I am certainly interested in the next chapters.

Its just not good
Diluvian Ultra - Just so you know my POV on this review, I got my key for this from trading my extra key for Henry Stickman Collection. TLDR: The first few levels from one to three played normal and fine, took a brake for few hours and when came back the "weapons dont appear anymore" bug happened and pretty much stopped there. Mainly for this reason will not recomend untill this is fixed. I had no previous info on this title, looked like a interesting boomer shooter and felt like something I would play at some point. The trade for this game happened 2024 and in the holy year of 2026 got to playing this, tad bit dissapointed that the game has a game bricking bug. Started the game on the most hard difficulty, but yeah didnt get to advance that far, for the amount I did get to play the game did entertain with the sword and very special feeling other weapons mainly the submachine gun(?). In terms of the difficulty I did not feel like it challenged at all, I dont know if it had more to do with the fact that I did not get that far with the campaign so the enemies were very basic and did not hit that hard or accurately.
Verdict
❌ Not Recommended I played Diluvian Ultra for 10 minutes, and I don’t want to play it anymore. The game just doesn’t entertain me, so I don’t recommend it.
My history with the game

Played 10 minutes
Not finished
I don’t want to continue
Not recommended by me

Quick signals
💸 Value: ☑Not worth it for me (I quit after 10 minutes) 🖥️ Requirements: ☑Low to medium (Windows 10/11 64-bit, 8 GB RAM minimum listed) 🎨 Graphics: ☑Retro aesthetic, colorful pulp sci-fi style ⏱️ Length: ☑Structured as chapters (Chapter One has 10 levels plus a hub) 📖 Story: ☑Set in its own expansive fictive universe 🎮 Difficulty: ☑Fast-paced, strategic combat focus 🐛 Bugs: ☑No issues noticed in my 10 minutes
What I liked

It aims for a retro FPS vibe with fast-paced combat
The setting is colorful and stylized like old pulp sci-fi covers
There is clear structure and content design (levels, hub, weapons and upgrades)

What didn’t work for me

The game didn’t entertain me
After 10 minutes, I already wanted to stop
I don’t want to play it anymore, so I don’t recommend it

Is it an endless game? How long to beat?
Not endless. It is presented as chapter-based content (for example, Chapter One has 10 levels plus a hub), with more story chapters planned as paid DLCs. I can’t estimate full length from my own experience because I stopped after 10 minutes.
Who will love it

Players who want a single-player retro-style first-person shooter
Fans of colorful pulp sci-fi worlds instead of gritty realism
People who like fast-paced, strategic FPS combat

Replay value

Potentially medium for FPS fans because of weapons and upgrades
For me: none, because I’m not continuing after 10 minutes
Spectacular game! Actually really surprised me with this one... Beautiful atmosphere and amazing gameplay!
cool style and attempt at a story. It's unfinished though and unfortunately the gameplay doesn't feel great. It feels both too tight, and too loose at the same time while having no feedback for anything. This isn't helped by how cramped all the environments are that makes it feel like you don't have room to fight, let alone mess around with the dashes and stomps, of which take wind up time. There's a lot to like but when your core gameplay loop doesn't feel good and also makes me feel blind, I don't really want to keep playing.
