In a nerdy sci fi future, developed by one dev, fight for the future. It LOOKS like a game that stepped straight out of 2004 and into my living room. It plays like that as well. But that is not a bad thing. There is a lot of love poured into this and you will not be disappointed by the level design and voice acting. The only caveat to all this praise is the price, it is about 2x as expensive as I would like to see it. Wait for a sale and then play this for a janky fun time. https://youtu.be/zMW6O84llto
I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm so in love, don't want to sing no sad songs, only love songs yea! That's how this game made me feel, we all dreamed of making our own Fallout-styled RPG, and this WonderKid did it! It is one of the most amazingly fun and imaginative experiences on Steam! While it lacks the V.A.T's system, and is far smaller and simpler than a Bethesda RPG, it nonetheless feels like one. You will be chatting with NPCs, getting quests and side quests, having opportunities to see some different choices, and of course plenty of things to shoot and loot! The visuals are simple, but I find the art style very enduring, it's a kind of PS1 meets 80s Saturday Morning Cartoon vibe. I really dig it, sure you see a lot of repeated NPCs, but you did in Fallout too, ok maybe not this many repeats but still, come on now, this is a one-person project. Combat is simple but fun, the outfits and world art are interesting, a kind of Philip K ♥♥♥♥ meets Walt Disney Vibe. No bugs or glitches thus far, runs incredibly smooth, and has a lot more features than you would expect, like vehicles that are fun to drive, and can be used to lug all your loot with! You can even meet and recruit compaions to tag along on your quest, I met the love of my life Betty, she is a wonderdoll, she shoots like a queen, and she drives one mean machine, shame she always skids off the road... That was a joke about women driving, not the A.i. Was it a cheap joke? yes, was it a little confusing? was it sexist? yes, was it funny? oh, we all know we smirked. So, get this game and love it, love it like we should love eachother. Peace love and wubs.
This game feels to me more like a beta than a full release. It needs a lot of care in order to make it into something good. First off, there's no controller support, which I feel should be the first thing put into the game. Second, moving about the world, whether by foot or vehicle, exhibits a lot of buggy behaviour, such as the hilariously bad jumping pose, vehicles instantly stopping when you let go of the accelerate button, parking on a 60-70 degree slope, cars phasing through trees and buildings, cars being effortlessly pushed aside by players or NPCs alike, enemy vehicles chasing you for 50 miles, far outside their home base, before being stopped by an invisible wall, and the "ramming" function which *literally* does nothing. Third, the amount of misspellings is something that needs addressing. "Respone"? You mean "Respawn". "Chick hight" and "Chick wide"? You mean "Cheek height" and "Cheek width". "Equipt"? You mean "Equipped". It does appear that English isn't the developer's native language, but it would be better to double check translations to make absolutely sure it's accurate. Fourth, the notable sparseness of ammo is something that WILL get you killed regularly. Had I not reloaded my save, the debt collector, the very first enemy of the game, would've killed me. This issue, admittedly, may be my fault for not knowing I had to craft bullets, but the game's tutorial only offhandedly mentions this, instead of making you go through it. Also, the enemies have infinite bullets which just seems unfair when you have to craft your own. Fifth and final, the faces of the NPCs fit squarely into the Uncanny Valley. Half the time, they look like mannequins, and exhibit just as much movement. There is potential here, but it really does need a lot more care and effort put in to make it good.
Hello fellow indies, I'm sorry that I have to refund your game because I'm short on money and the game is not suit my taste to play for a long time. Here is a good thing in this game. The story is great, it feels like I'm reading high quality novel. There are a lot of stuffs which in my definition is "experimental subjects" This game sure dream big, but sadly the quality of gameplay is not up to the standard I wish for. Surely for people with some spare money and don't mind about sluggish gameplay would be able to enjoy this game a lot more than me which is why I recommended this game. I could guaranteed that the vibe is there, enjoy the world of Digitizer.
There is no place to really begin with a review for a game like this. It’s made by one man, and it shows. It is a game full of jank that you will generally have to play around to get to any kind of fun, or the jank can be its own kind of fun. But if you have no tolerance for unpolished games? Definitely stay away. What do I mean when I say unpolished? The character models look like they’re from 2006 or so, and that extends out to the rest of the graphics of the game. Animations are there, you know characters are doing something when they do it, but they’re stiff and tend to look awkward. It all honestly serves its purpose, but you know that the graphics were not intentionally at this level, and that the developer most likely would have improved them if they were able to do so. I will say the vehicles look nice in comparison to the rest of the game. The graphics leads us into the issue of framerate. I played this on a Geforce GTX 1070 and aside from the initial loading being around 5-10fps, most of the game I got around 40fps. It’s extremely unoptimized, sadly. Towards the end of the game when a lot of things are happening around the open world, the framerate dropped to 15fps or below until getting through those quests, and then it was just 15-20fps from then on out. The audio is fine? Like, the game sounds okay and nothing ever really jumped out at me as feeling like a really bad sound effect. Voice acting was... professional like the Steam store says, but not all of the VAs really gave it significant effort. Plus, they were also dealing with a script that contained grammatical issues that some just read as-is. None of the voice acting was missed, though. It’s all there, for better or worse. And speaking of the script, the base story isn’t bad? It exists, and it’s there, and you can generally tell where things are going as you play. It’s not going to be surprising in particular, but it’s not the low point of this game by any stretch. There are some funny points that are probably supposed to be funny? I’m not sure, but I did find things to be amused about here and there. As far as game-breaking bugs go? I only really ran into one. If you find yourself in the desert and looking at a small bunker entrance under a pile of rocks called Old Satellite Bunker, don’t go in. It basically doesn’t teleport you into the bunker and leaves you outside with no terrain visible. The only way to fix this appears to be by going into the Digitizer building. Otherwise, going in to/out of any other places will likely just crash. Beyond that, though, the game is perfectly playable as far as the achievements, quests, and everything goes. I didn’t 100% the game, but ended up at around 15 hours of gameplay, so decent length for the price. Might be better to get it when it’s on sale, but you could do worse. There’s plenty to do in the game, though you may end up driving back and forth a lot. Gunplay is... well, it exists. I didn’t do any melee, but you can also play the game with that. There are three melee weapons that I know of, but there could be another one hiding out there. Honestly, I was entertained throughout my whole play through, though perhaps not for reasons that the game intended. If you’re looking for something to MST3K with friends or whatever, it can probably fill that niche pretty well. If you’ve read to this point, you honestly know what you’re getting into and I’d recommend it for janky fun.

I’ve also posted my full playthrough of the game here if you’d like to see where I got all of the above from, or simply see how the game actually plays.
I will follow with great interest. The game should be Early Access. But a great idea. If this gets some serious love It could be a great game. If I could it would be a wait and see not a negative review.
I really am enjoying this game, with only a few hours into it. It is a bit needy in a few areas but so far not breaking. The wolves clip through the home doors and the handling of the vehicles needs some TLC. I think that the way the game is going atm it will be a very good game especially if the Dev tends to it and fixes buigs and updates it regulary.... Time will tell.. https://youtu.be/Yrjxb-Dkbt0 or a look at the playing... Tatt
